~ Per creare quest’opera mi sono ispirata alle superfici delle pareti antiche, come quelle delle chiese, dove la luce e i dettagli trasmettono un senso di profondità e armonia. Ho lavorato unendo un ritratto digitale con texture di preziosi intonaci, utilizzando Photoshop e Procreate. Ho sovrapposto strati di dettagli, integrando il volto e le trame attraverso maschere di livello e pennelli personalizzati, per garantire una transizione fluida e naturale. La palette cromatica è stata scelta con toni tenui, richiamando l’estetica pittorica classica per conferire un senso di equilibrio ed eleganza.
Luce e ombra sono state bilanciate per creare profondità, mantenendo l’attenzione sull’armonia complessiva della composizione. L’obiettivo era creare un quadro che sembrasse emergere da un contesto artistico antico, capace di trasmettere una bellezza senza tempo. - Odilia Liuzzi

~ Per realizzare quest’opera intitolata “Celeste Obsidiana”, ho lavorato con un approccio stratificato, combinando ritratto digitale e manipolazione avanzata delle texture. Il volto è stato modellato attraverso pennelli personalizzati in Procreate, con particolare attenzione alla sfumatura della pelle e alla resa dei volumi. Per il colletto in pizzo, che rappresenta una parte preziosa dell’immagine, ho utilizzato un mix di filtri e maschere di livello in Photoshop, assicurando una definizione accurata senza perdere naturalezza nei dettagli. La gestione della luce è stata un elemento chiave: ho bilanciato i contrasti per ottenere un effetto tridimensionale, lavorando con regolazioni selettive su luminosità e ombre. Lo sfondo è stato trattato con un leggero degrado tonale per mantenere un focus pulito sul soggetto, evitando distrazioni visive. L’intera composizione è stata pensata per fondere eleganza e precisione tecnica, ottenendo un’immagine che trasmette raffinatezza e cura artigianale. - Odilia Liuzzi

~ Per creare quest’opera ho voluto fondere il volto femminile con la trasparenza vibrante del vetro, cercando una linea sottile tra presenza e assenza.

L’immagine è nata da un gioco visivo che intreccia lo sguardo, la materia e la luce, come se l’identità stessa si lasciasse filtrare, scomporre, ricomporre in uno specchio liquido.

La texture pittorica si integra con elementi vegetali e dettagli dorati, evocando una delicatezza che parla di attesa, introspezione e tempo sospeso.

Ho lavorato in digitale, con Photoshop e Procreate, utilizzando maschere e livelli per mantenere la transizione tra reale e immaginario. La palette cromatica è volutamente tenue, con sfumature profonde e vellutate, per restituire un senso di intimità silenziosa.

L’obiettivo era creare un ritratto sospeso tra sogno e memoria, dove ogni elemento contribuisce a un’estetica poetica, quasi sacrale. Un equilibrio fragile, ma profondamente umano.

~ Prima di terminare un’opera, mi piace tornare su alcuni dettagli e aggiungere dei tocchi dorati.

In questo video sto lavorando in Procreate, con la mia amata Apple Pencil e sull’iPad Pro 13’, applicando l’effetto foglia d’oro in alcune zone dell’opera. Queste rifiniture finali catturano la luce, valorizzano la superficie e donano una luminosità delicata al lavoro finito.

Per me non è soltanto uno degli ultimi passaggi: è anche uno dei momenti più rilassanti, belli e preziosi di tutto il processo. L’opera è ormai quasi completa e questi ultimi elementi dorati sono come gli accenti finali che tengono insieme ogni cosa. ✨

Before finishing an artwork, I like to return to certain details and add touches of gold.

In this video, I’m working in Procreate with my Apple Pencil and on iPad Pro 13’, applying the gold leaf effect to selected areas of the piece. These final gold details catch the light, enhance the surface, and bring a subtle luminosity to the finished work.

For me, this is not only one of the final steps, it is also one of the most relaxing, beautiful and precious moments of the whole process. The artwork is almost complete, and these last touches of gold feel like the final accents that bring everything together. ✨
