can’t be nonchalant about this tbh.
i have dreamed about meeting yung lean for +seven years. his music has helped me through the hardest times of my life, he turned the lights on when i couldn’t see. his story and perseverance through adversity has been so inspiring, and watching his growth over the years has shown me that we can make it alright in the end.
the meet was rushed bc so many ppl waited for him and i wish i could’ve had more than 10 seconds to tell him how much he meant to me, but i got to thank him.. and that’s more than i ever thought i’d have the opportunity to do.
he is truly my favorite artist ever, a constant in my chaos, and my biggest inspiration. when i was 15 and had all my music equipment on a shipping container, preparing to move my life across the world, i repurchased all of my equipment and the first song i recorded was my agony cover. it was the first song of his that i really fell in love with, and the song that kept me calm on my 16hr flights.
aside from that, in my loneliest times i felt the community and i have come to meet some of the most beautiful people who love his music the way i do. shoutout to you guys i love u.
such a sappy fangirl post but im standing on it.. lil 15 year old liv would’ve never believed me if i told her that i got to hear him live (twice now) AND meet him.
my heart is full and i am so thankful.
THANK YOU @yunglean2001
