OPENING NIGHT!!!🎸⚡️What a gift it has been to spend the past few months creating this show! This cast is genuinely one of the most talented groups of artists I’ve ever had the privilege of working with, if not the most talented. Every single person brings something special, and getting to share the stage with them has been such a gift. Y’all are so fierce and inspire me! The team at @actorsstudionj is doing fantastic work to build a community full of passion, support, hard work, and joy☀️ I am so grateful to have been given this opportunity.@michaelrestaino the way you pour yourself into every aspect of this company is something I’ll always admire. Everyone wake up I had my official Off-Broadway debut last night! Thank you to the brilliant @taporen for being such a huge inspiration. Watching you create choreography that is so vibrant, grounded, joyful, and deeply connected to the story and culture, was a gift. And thank you @rashaanjames2 for your grounded presence, incredibly sharp eye, and your way of seeing the details that elevate everything. I am deeply grateful for the time I had with you both on this show💛It’s been a joy to work in this room, I can’t thank @robwschneider and @j2spotlightnyc more for the opportunity.@stephencoletheatre @harryj.collins @brodyredman @realmikemeaney you are all amazing at what you do, it’s been a pleasure!Just five months after moving to NYC and it’s hard to believe I get to wake up in this city every day, let alone be in the rooms I once dreamed of. Getting to work on 42nd Street, surrounded by the energy and history of New York theatre, doors down from Broadway productions is not lost on me. In an effort to showcase more of my work on social media, here are some absolutely stunning show photos (by @samterrellnyc) of Footloose from this past summer! I had an absolute BLAST Directing and Choreographing this joyful piece with so many amazing people, at my favorite place. For the past three summers The College Light Opera Company has been my home where I have served as the sole Choreographer. Each season consisting of 9 shows in 11 weeks, ranging from classical operettas to contemporary musical theatre. This is a truly remarkable place following a summer stock model that is rare to find, there is truly no other training like this.Footloose was show nine of my third season and I could not be prouder/more thankful of the work done by all involved!
