Last night I played my last volleyball game.Volleyball has shaped me in ways I never expected. It’s been a journey that’s not just about physical skills, but about resilience, teamwork, and personal growth. I’ve been so fortunate to meet incredible people, teammates, coaches, and opponents, who have inspired me, challenged me, and supported me every step of the way. The friendships and connections I’ve built through this sport will last far beyond any game or championship. God’s timing in placing them in my path has been a gift, and I’m humbled by how He has used this sport to bring such incredible individuals into my life. I am beyond grateful for my parents, Jason and Ginger, who have been there for me through every volleyball tournament, every game, every tear, every meltdown, and every tough practice. Their unwavering support, love, and encouragement have kept me going, even when things felt impossible. I can’t thank them enough for always sticking by my side and helping me become the person and athlete I am today. I’ll miss the adrenaline, the laughter, the late night practices, and the shared victories, but more than anything, I’ll miss the sense of purpose and belonging that volleyball has given me. This sport has transformed me, it’s taught me discipline, how to handle pressure, how to be a part of something bigger than myself, and it’s pushed me to discover strengths I never knew I had. I can honestly say that volleyball didn’t just change my life, it gave me a NEW life, full of memories I’ll treasure forever. As I close this chapter, I’ll carry these lessons with me into whatever comes next, knowing that volleyball will always be a part of who I am. #wawgwawn #shoutouttoned #3 by @livapodaca
