ACCESSIBILITY ISN'T AN OPTION

Disabled people shouldn't have to be fighting every step of the way just to be at an even playing field.

Accessibility is being treated less and less like an option and more of a guilt-trip to make disabled people feel guilty for exiting.
Currently, disabled people are being used as a scapegoat for the missteps of the US government.
Medicaid, SSI, SSDI, SNAP, etc funding being cut, things many disabled people cannot survive without. Section 504 potentially being repealed in its entirety, the thing that protects disabled students in schools and colleges. The entire Department of Education being dismantled, which houses the IDEA act additionally protecting disabled students.

July 2025 marks the 35th anniversary of the ADA being put into place.
Disability is the only minority group you can join at any moment, and at some point in your life you will most likely become disabled. And if you're not disabled now, you love someone who is.
Protecting the rights of disabled people is protecting your rights.

Disabled people should not and will not be made guilty for existing. We have every right to take up space. We will continue to fight until we no longer have to fight to be at an equal playing field.
