A spot that’s definitely worth checking out! 🤤✨

Here’s what we ordered:

🍣 Spicy Salmon Futomaki – 10/10 ⭐️ Topped with fresh spicy salmon sashimi and spicy mayo. The perfect balance of crunch, freshness, and flavour.

🍝 Mentaiko Cream Pasta – 10/10 🥓 Creamy, rich, and full of umami. Our favourite dish of the night!

🍝 Rose Pasta – 9/10 🍤 Loaded with prawns in their house special rose sauce. It was a little on the dry side, but still incredibly flavourful.

🍗 Chicken Karaage – 9/10 ✨ Crispy and juicy with great seasoning. Best enjoyed right away while it’s still hot and crunchy.

Agedashi tofu - 6/10 ✨ crispy texture but the sauce was poured into the bowl which made the bottom of the tofu soggy

One of the best shaved ice spots in Vancouver has to be Icy Bar. They’ve been around for a long time, and it’s still one of my favourite places to visit every summer. The flavours are authentic, refreshing, and perfect for cooling down on a hot day.

My personal recommendation is the shaved ice—it’s light, refreshing, and great for sharing with friends.
The mango crepe cake 🍰 looked amazing, but the taste didn’t quite live up to the presentation. The mango was a little sour, and the crepe layers were slightly too thick for my liking.

On the other hand, the durian pomelo dessert was a solid 10/10. It had the perfect balance of sweetness, creamy coconut, and rich durian flavour.

If you’re looking for a refreshing summer dessert in Vancouver, definitely give Icy Bar a try!

Whenever I’m craving Hong Kong food 🇭🇰, I end up at @snackshot_

It always reminds me of my first trip to Hong Kong with my sister our first international trip together. I’m definitely more of a homebody, so traveling was never really my thing, but she really wanted to go and eventually convinced me.

Honestly, Hong Kong was so hot that I could barely sleep. My aunt was constantly worried about us, and my mom thought sending me there was a terrible idea because my sense of direction was basically nonexistent. To be fair, she had a point. 😂

One night around midnight, I was starving, and that’s when I realized why people love Hong Kong so much. Unlike Canada, everything was still open. We grabbed 奶油猪, 肠粉, 咖喱鱼蛋, and 烧卖, and I was obsessed from the first bite.

Now whenever I come here, it gives me the same feeling. The food tastes just like I remember, and for a moment it feels like I’m back wandering around Hong Kong with my sister looking for our next snack.

Food really is the fastest way to bring back a good memory. ❤️
