Our website Lives Not Labels shares stories of lived experience of mental health conditions, mental illnesses and personality disorders (Cluster A, B and C) in a bid to help people understand what it's like to live with some of the most stigmatised and misunderstood disorders. The stories we feature are recovery-focused and aim to provide hope to others struggling with these conditions and provide insight into how they can be managed. We are currently seeking new voluntary submissions for the website and are open to considering any condition or disorder. I adore the BPD Relationships series so much 😍

There's so much wisdom to learn from each of these wonderful couples about how they support each other to live a life that is meaningful and full of love.

Katja (@livesnotlabels) and Charles are such a great example of support without stagnation. Each of them grow and change in their relationship in fun (and absolutely hilarious) ways knowing that their identities as individuals are just as important as their identity together. ❤

Splitting is one of the more jarring experiences for people living with BPD. Things can be fine one moment, and then all of a sudden, a benign conversation turns into the beginning of the end of a relationship.

While it is hard to learn how to catch the split, it’s possible! We have had several discussions on our podcast, The BPD Bunch about splitting and how we have learned to slow down, get out of it and/or stop it from happening in the first place. Commment “SPLIT” and we will DM you the links!

There isn’t one way this condition shows up.

Experiences can vary widely; from how emotions are felt, to how relationships are navigated, to what recovery looks like over time.

It makes sense to be cautious if you’ve had a difficult experience with someone.

At the same time, when we start treating everyone with BPD as if they are that same person, we risk letting past experiences get in the way of seeing, and supporting, the person in front of us.

Understanding starts with recognizing the individual, not just the label.
