I’m really looking forward to being part of Greenwich Wellness Week this year.

It means a lot to be included alongside a community of practitioners who are all supporting people in different ways.

Moments like this always remind me why this work matters so much.

Over the past decade, I’ve spent a lot of time studying and experiencing how the nervous system shapes the way we move through life… and how, with the right kind of support, it can begin to shift.

That’s the foundation of Returning to You, my 28-day program.

But for this week, I wanted to create something more accessible.

I’ll be offering a few 45-minute virtual sessions where I’ll share a small piece of this work — a bit of understanding, and a guided experience you can feel in your body.

Nothing to prepare. Nothing to get right.

Just a chance to pause, and reconnect in a simple, grounded way.

If it resonates, you’re very welcome to join.

April 17–24.

Anyone else feeling a bit buzzy? It felt timely to share a few of my favorite things.💚

The neuroscience of scent: Smell is the one sense that skips the brain’s relay station, the thalamus, and goes straight to the amygdala (emotion) and the hippocampus (memory). That’s why a scent can bring back a moment or change your mood before you’ve even thought about it. Neuroscientist Dr. Tara Swart even uses it on purpose: pair a scent with a win, and smelling it again can bring back that confident feeling. She calls it “the smell of success.” It works for cozy moments too: pair a scent with a quiet evening, and it can bring that calm back whenever you need it.

Putting it to use:
Wash your hands in cold water, splash your face (this triggers the “mammalian dive reflex,” which can reset your nervous system), then smell your hands. Instant reset. Aesop Geranium Leaf is my favorite and works for your hands and body.

Salt & Stone deodorant: Aluminum-free, and they all smell amazing! My go-to is Lily & Yuzu, but Santal & Vetiver is a classic.

NEOM Perfect Night’s Sleep magnesium cream: I LOVE this one. I’ve given it to so many friends, and one called it “voodoo magic.” Set yourself up for a beautifully relaxing night’s sleep.

Profi spray: I use this when traveling or in crowded spaces to help me stay well by providing a barrier to germs and so I can smell the roses along the way!

A couple other things for wellbeing:

Journal: I always carry at least one. Writing is one of my go-tos for processing emotions and recording special moments. I love these oversized ones from DesignWorks Ink with the pretty designs.

Yoga toes: To set up for the day or after a lot of standing, these help so much. Pair them with the Aesop or NEOM body lotion for additional restoration.

Just returned home last night. Here’s what’s settling with me after the Master’s Conference last week, which was INCREDIBLE!!!

Being part of the Healing Collective was a different way of experiencing the event from when I attended last year. While I may not have caught nearly as many talks, it was tremendously special to be part of this amazing team of rock stars, connecting with those who needed support along the way.

James Baldwin once wrote, “The longer I live, the more deeply I learn that love — whether we call it friendship or family or romance — is the work of mirroring and magnifying each other’s light.” That’s the closest I can come to describing what this work actually was.

What made it so powerful was how simple it really was. The “healing” was reflecting the goodness already in someone back to them — when they got overwhelmed, disconnected, or lost in their own head. It rarely took long. It wasn’t therapy. There was an inherent humanity in it that let people find their footing again and rejoin the group, redirect to a different session or take time for rest…present in whatever they chose.

I’m looking forward to diving into the recordings soon. Until then, I’m grateful for every person who trusted me enough to be seen — tender moments and all.

Pictures including the following and many others💗

A year ago, I sat in the audience at Transform Trauma Oxford, soaking it all in. Next week, I return...this time as a member of the Healing Collective, led by the wonderful Stephanie Simms @beyondsolacecounseling

The Collective exists to hold space for the people holding space for everyone else - special places to pause and reflect, real conversation to reconnect, and support to return to the conference with intention.

Fellow member Jennyfer Rosado @jennyfer.rosado shared something that’s stuck with me: “Because even the carers need care!” So true.

Grateful and excited for what’s ahead. 💗

Some days things feel heavy.

Mentally.
Emotionally.
Physically.

On those days, your body often knows before your mind does.
It might go quiet, pull back, or make everything feel a little sticky and hard to move through.

That isn’t you doing it wrong.

That is your body’s wisdom trying to protect you.
So instead of forcing yourself to “push through,” what if the invitation was to soften toward yourself?

To meet your own quiet with kindness.
And, when it feels possible, to reach out to a friend or support person so your nervous system remembers it isn’t alone.
Sometimes the light is born right there — in the courage it takes to reach out, and in the tenderness of the one who reaches back.

There is always light.
Only if we are brave enough to see it.
There is always light.
Only if we are brave enough to be it.

Not every life-changing moment arrives as certainty.

Sometimes it arrives as a thought you cannot shake.
A path you keep returning to.
A version of yourself that keeps asking to exist.

And maybe the fear is not proof you are making the wrong decision.
Maybe it is simply proof that you are stepping beyond what feels familiar.

There are seasons where staying the same becomes more uncomfortable than changing.

Those moments matter.

The things that deeply move us, challenge us, awaken us, or call us forward often reveal parts of ourselves we have not yet fully met.

You do not need to rush the process.
You do not need to become fearless overnight.

Just honest enough to stop ignoring what your soul keeps reaching for.

Something beautiful is unfolding...even here, even now. by @livingrevively

Most people think they need more discipline
More structure
More effort
More consistency

But often, what’s actually happening is this:

Your nervous system is overwhelmed
And pushing through doesn’t create the shift you’re looking for

Returning to You works differently
It begins with supporting your system
So change can happen from a place that feels more sustainable

During Greenwich Wellness Week, I’ll be offering a few virtual sessions where you can experience this work

A little understanding
A guided reset
And a chance to see what this could feel like for you

It’s one thing to understand this work conceptually

It’s another to actually feel supported while doing it
That’s what I hear most often from people inside Returning to You
Not that everything suddenly shifts overnight

But that the experience feels different
Supportive, grounding, and connected to what’s actually happening inside

And over time, that creates real change

If you’ve been curious about this work, Greenwich Wellness Week is a chance to experience it for yourself in a simple, supportive way
