🍄 FLYCELIUM 🍄

Here is the final show!

28 days of making, creating, devising and discovering and this is where we landed. This mighty little show follows the story of a gardener looking for rain in a summer of draught. When the rains finally arrive, thanks to an errant cloud and a clever audience, so do the mushrooms and with them we discover the magic under our feet.

It’s a proof of concept and is ready to be booked for future festivals and theatres so share with fellow producers, bookers and commissioners!

Now onto those who made this happen! ✨🍀🍄

Supported & Presented by @CitrusArts at @Greenman and Settlement with massive thanks to @jamescitrus for all your support and the Citrus Artworkers!

🍄FLYCELIUM CREATION WEEK🍄

So after some thinky thinky and trainy trainy time at @weare_wakingdreams we headed to Pontypridd in Wales with suitcases of kit and some heady anticipation to meet Our Funders. Now that can be a nervey part of the creative process for artists because you have to show that the giving of funds wasn’t a colossal mistake. What happened when we arrived at Hopkinsons Hall was utterly charming.

We found a beautiful community space filled with excited young people getting stuck in to their artistic processes with @citrusartsuk . @jamescitrus and the rest of his team (shout out to Dani!) welcomed us in with huge teapots full of generosity and good humour.

And with that setting, over four days we stitched together a show.

@hannahcompanyfox turned up with a car full of materials and props that might be useful and made puppets that will be finished up this next week.

We did a full dress(ish-costumes-still-pending) run today and had some friends come and give their notes.

We’re on the coach back as I write this and I can’t believe that that little idea that sprouted a couple of months ago (to make a circus show about mushrooms) is now an actual thing and has created so many new and blossoming connections.

THANK YOU to the Citrus Arts team for the support and long may your work with your community continue. I can see how valuable, important and warm-hearted it is.

A month ago today Livi and I visited a tiny beach hut on the South Devon coast.

On our second night Amidst a wild storm and in front of a driftwood fire… my dreams came true.

The woman I fell in love with two years ago, and continue to fall deeper in love with every single day, said YES and I am literally over the moon. by @livistrations

Sometimes I’m not a producer. Sometimes I get to wear a 1990s OG Spice Up Your Life World Tour archive dress and be super glam. 🪩

Can’t say much about this one - but it was a murder mystery in a very fancy train, in Venice and was written and co-directed by @bellscomedy for Private Drama Events ✨ by @livistrations
