By far the most bittersweet goodbye is to the Spelman Jaguars Lacrosse team. What started as an idea during my freshman year when I missed playing the sport I love, transformed into a movement so much bigger than myself about advocating for the return of sports at Spelman.

Thank you for becoming my calling and challenging me to break out of my shell and grow into the leader I never imagined. This opportunity and movement has brought so much greater community among Spelman athletes and the HBCU lacrosse family. I am so grateful for the opportunities I have had and the life lessons I’ve learned while leading this team.

To my teammates & cofounders, thank you for taking a chance with me. I cannot thank you all enough for your commitment and resilience over the years. I deeply appreciate your trust in me to lead us through what had never been done before. Your dedication inspired me and kept me going even when there were no clear paths forward. You all reminded me of our why.

I am immensely proud and grateful to leave this legacy at Spelman and am excited to see how future Spelman laxers continue to grow the program and share the love of the sport.

Remain undaunted & be the change you want to see. 🩵

Thank you,
