Closed Princess and the Pea yesterday at @storybookmusicaltheatre. Had such a great time back in TYA land with Princess George. Thanks to our fearless leaders @aileengoldberg @showbz28 and @instagramlessmason (esp for getting us ready in only 1 week of rehearsals!), to this great cast, and to some of my favorite audience members. Closed DEAR JACK, DEAR LOUISE at @eastlynnetheater last week and I’ll miss the firecracker that was Louise. This show was maybe the biggest challenge yet (two-hander, extremes of emotion, changing venues) and yet it was a smooth, joy filled process. I’m so proud of us, and hope I did real life Louise (who I kept a pic of on my mirror!) proud. Now looking forward to wearing anything other than pin curls under baseball hats 😂

Thrilled to (finally!) announce I’ll be returning to @eastlynnetheater to play Louise in Ken Ludwig’s DEAR JACK, DEAR LOUISE. Beyond hype for the challenge of my first two-hander, and to do it in a place I love. We run June 19-July 12: come write letters and fall in love with us!! How naughty will it get? You’ll just have to watch to find out… 😏🍸

Closed You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown this weekend and already missing rolling on the floor with these peanuts. To bring joy, silliness, laughter (and crabbiness—swipe for a surprise) with these friends now was nothing short of a gift. Thanks to our fearless leaders @briankherrick, @jessieb2579, and Jared for making it happen.

I may never come down again.

Oh my sweet Ella.
I fell in love with this show as soon as I saw the Tony performance: the music was on repeat all the time (there was a solid year “Loneliness of Evening” was my alarm clock). I dreamed of playing her one day, but I truly think timing works in meaningful ways, and she knew I needed her now.

This year has sucked. I lost my mom in January, and it felt like I lost myself over and over again in trying to regain my footing since. I had been terrified of the first holiday season without Mom (and both her and my first birthday without) and I stand by thinking that this show is what got me to here. The idea that 2024 ended with a bit of joy is…astounding to me. And yet this show is why. More days than I can count I felt like a wreck and came out of a rehearsal feeling loved and valued and purposeful. And talented! I had been told time and time again that I wasn’t good enough for this. I dared to do it anyway, and this felt like a love letter to that determined dreaming. It felt like coming back to what I know I can do. I can’t say enough how grateful I am to this whole team for not only carrying me through these rough waters, but also for that gift.

And to feminist, determined, dreamy Ella: thank you for letting me refind myself through the music (and the strength, and the love, and the kindness) in you. taken in The Ritz Theatre Company by @liz.mattera
