With Saturday’s forecast calling for a low of 42°, we can’t help but reminisce about summer in St. Louis, specifically Merrill and Chris’s Sunday recovery brunch. Because what better way to recover from a wedding weekend than with one more fabulous party?

When @augustacole came to us with this gorgeous yellow and white striped fabric, we immediately saw the vision and fell in love. We built fully custom cabanas, complete with swagged openings and dressed head to toe in those fabulous stripes. We tucked some of our favorite lounge pieces underneath each one to complete the look.

And because we all love a good matching moment, we custom-painted our 6’ ‘Chatham’ curved bars to complement the fabric, creating the chicest satellite bars and DJ setup. Eight fringed umbrellas with scalloped bases carried the playful details throughout the space.

Safe to say, we’re still not over all this yellow. 💛

A moment for the bar, please 🥂✨

Every detail of Grace + John’s day was thoughtfully selected, designed, and handcrafted to perfection. Of all the beautiful elements we had the pleasure of bringing to life for this incredible couple, this bar is easily one of our favorite builds and a moment in the room that deserves a little extra attention.

Our tambour, illuminated ‘Prescott’ bar, was finished in the dreamiest soft mint green, and flanked by matching pedestals. Behind it, three of our arched, illuminated ‘Vienna’ barbacks featured custom lattice inlays against a soft baby blue backdrop.

We really wanted these barbacks to stand out, so we custom-built spacers to frame our ‘Vienna’ barbacks, and wrapped them in ruched mint green satin. Gold sconces nestled between the arches added another layer of warmth and illumination. And of course, no TPI build is finished without adding a thick, beefy crown molding (a @liz.okeefe_ must!)

A whole lot of custom craftsmanship, thoughtful details, and one seriously beautiful bar moment that we could stare at all day long. 🤍

When I was growing up, we wished each other a Happy Easter, but I don’t remember celebrating this particular day as a family. We weren’t the people that went to church together, gathering with extended family afterward searching for eggs in the back yard. We woke up in the country at Thunder Valley on this day and went fishing in the lake, rode motorcycles or enjoyed a walk in the woods. Our family was being knit together, though. In the wind, the sun, the shared beauty of everything around us. We grew up on the memories that mattered, food for our souls and away from judgement and comparison games. Along the way, God would sprinkle inspiration on me like fairy dust from people in my circle. I would go to camp in the mountains. I’d work hard, have goals, achieve them, fall down, and get back up again. I’d learn integrity and resilience from my beautiful parents. My core was solid.
.
For 13 years, I’d sing every morning from Hymnals at chapel. I’d sing those same songs joining friends on Sunday at their churches, even though I didn’t know the rituals like they did. I knew those words and it was all familiar. Their church home didn’t feel like my home, but I always felt connected to something beautiful, even if I hadn’t defined it yet.
.
Something I recognized as my conscience would help me choose paths that felt right in my soul over ones that didn’t. Somehow, I never strayed so far from a safe place that I couldn’t find my way back again. I made mostly good choices, and the ones that could have been life altering were Gracefully skipped over. Like a tether, I was grounded in a Spirit I had not yet defined.
.
Joy has always been woven through my soul but today it screams boldly through my choices without apology. On the happiest of days and the saddest of others, one invisible thread ties it all together with unshakable confidence.
.
Happy Easter to all. To those who are nodding in agreement, and especially to those intrigued by the fairy dust being sprinkled into your social media scroll. There aren’t accidents in life. It’s all just beautiful magic, waiting for you to turn up the volume.

I didn’t make the cut.
.
And honestly, it was kinda tough to swallow because I’ve never worked harder in my life. It’s like a never-ending sea of work-work balance right now. There is always this next season of something where the bar is constantly rising. I know it’s insane. But I’m all in. I have never felt more passion or purpose.
.
And so as this year’s Titan 100 Hall of Fame winners are announced, I am proud to have walked with you for a few years. I salute your hard work, the communities you serve and the lives you inspire along the way. It is not my season to stand with your elite crew on stage sporting that coveted helmet! But I am exactly where I am supposed to be…on an adjacent stage of my own…cheering you all on with a purposeful slow clap!
