I know it’s October 2026 but I’m just now catching my breath 😮‍💨 2025 was intense. It was a year of love and loss. It was our first year TTC, getting pregnant and giving birth. It was the year we lost a good friend much too young, much too soon. The year we sold our farm, that like a toxic relationship, was eating us from the inside out (yes, it also had its good moments. It’s how it trapped us lol) Now that I finally have my husband back, after our first full season of being apart and with a brand spankin’ new little human, I’ve been thinking a lot about last year, the people we shared our time with and just how important it is to have the kind of people by your side who fill your cup instead of try to break it. To the mornings in the kitchen singing and dancing, the walks to the gate with my immediate bestie aka THE HEALER, to cards at night. To squeezing myself into a wetsuit at 6 months preggo to swim with the zombie fishies and live my best seal life. I’m so grateful for those put in our path who make memories feel sweet instead of sour. You make me smile so hard. (I have a few choice words and two digitus medius for the sour ones but I’m trying to be more like my husband and reciprocate with a smile instead. Hakunamatata) Now I have to go through 5 more trips worth of videos. Can’t wait to get to Belize 🥲 #alaskalife #cupfull #hakunamatata taken in Alaska by @liz_bg

Deckhanding for my favorite captain these days. Can’t say I’m super helpful with camera on hand but I’m getting quick at cleaning the shrimp and making scampi so I think it’s all good. ———————————— #alaskalife taken in Alaska by @liz_bg

You know those days, right? The kind that make you lose your mind. All in the span of one hour. One magical hour. #humpbackwhale #photodump #alaska #nikonusa taken in Alaska by @liz_bg

A few shots with moms and littles on this Mother’s Day. The otter is one of my favorites because even when mom was swimming, she was still keeping a watchful eye. Zoom in on mom 🙃 (also the penguin mom may be a dad but shhhh) #nikonusa #mothersday2023 taken in Planet Earth by @liz_bg
