💜Thank you to the Women’s Leadership Program for having me and giving me the opportunity to share a full class on style and communication.💅

It was a true honor to talk about how our style and communication are key in projecting the best version of ourselves. I was thrilled to see many of you approach me after the session to share your thoughts and feedback. Your enthusiasm and eagerness to learn were truly inspiring!

The goal of this class was to show how our image—what we wear and how we communicate—is a powerful tool. First impressions matter, and we are always projecting something to others, especially to our clients and those we work with.

For years, society has praised motherhood in solitude—calling us “warriors,” as if words can replace real support.

Behind that praise: Mothers leaving their kids alone to work.
Mothers juggling multiple jobs.
Mothers giving three times the effort.
Mothers putting aside their dreams so their children lack nothing.

Doing it alone is hard. It’s not just money it’s the total responsibility and absence of support.

Raising children, educating them, working, keeping a home, caring, supporting this is real work. It deserves real support and real compensation.

These applauses are not recognition—they are disguised violence. Systemic violence. Economic violence. Judgment disguised as praise.

Calling us “warriors” doesn’t fix anything. We are already doing more than enough.

This is not normal. This is not fair. And it has to change.

This is for single mothers whose child support cases were closed because fathers were deported or left the country voluntarily. Today, Denver brought together inspiring Latina leaders at the 2026 Latina Leadership Conference, Mujeres Leading with Purpose, organized by colorado_alas

The event connected educators, professionals, and community leaders to celebrate Latina leadership, representation, and empowerment.

It also marked the beginning of the 23rd ALAS National Summit on Education.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn, connect, and reflect on the importance of creating opportunities for future generations.

Todo pasa… hasta lo que un día parecía eterno.

Hay muertes que no se anuncian,
despedidas que no llevan flores,
tumbas que nadie visita
y duelos que se esconden detrás de una sonrisa.

A veces no mueren las personas,
mueren las promesas,
las ilusiones,
la confianza,
y aquella versión de nosotros
que todavía creía en lo imposible.

Qué cansancio el de un alma
que ha tenido que renacer tantas veces,
que aprendió a caminar entre ruinas,
a sonreír con el corazón hecho pedazos
y a llamar fortaleza
a lo que muchas veces fue simplemente sobrevivir.

Pero la vida es demasiado breve
para pasarla recogiendo los restos
de aquello que otros no supieron cuidar.

Que el tiempo se lleve los nombres,
que el silencio sepulte las heridas,
que la memoria conserve lo hermoso
y el olvido haga su trabajo con lo demás.

Porque hasta las flores más hermosas se marchitan,
hasta los amores más intensos se convierten en recuerdos,
y hasta el dolor más profundo
termina encontrando su lugar entre las sombras.

Un día también seremos ausencia,
un retrato, una historia,
un nombre que alguien pronuncie
mientras enciende una vela.

Y qué tristeza sería llegar al final
habiendo dedicado toda una vida
a sobrevivir en lugar de vivir.

Que muera lo que tenga que morir,
pero que no se me muera la vida
intentando salvar lo que ya estaba perdido.

Porque todo pasa…
