Something is stealing your energy, your strength, and your confidence. And most women don’t even know what it is yet.

It’s not laziness. It’s not age. It’s not willpower.

It’s the absence of a foundation.

I spent 20 years figuring out exactly what that foundation looks like for women in midlife. And I built it into a method that works because it’s built on principles not programs. Steward and Receive.

Five pillars. One integrated life.

The Rise™ is 12 weeks of live 1:1 coaching where we build that foundation together. Personalized strength program. Nourishment framework. Weekly Zoom sessions. Monday through Friday Voxer access so you are never navigating this alone.

5 spots. Fall Special pricing available right now.

DM me THE RISE and let’s get started.

The couple that finds each other later in life carries a different kind of love.

Rooted. Grounded. Clear. Solid.

Getting to know each other comes easier because you already know yourselves.

No performance. No guessing.

Just two people who know exactly who they are and exactly what they are choosing.

That is not discovery.

That is recognition. 🩷

Can I ask you something honestly?

Do you feel like you’re being tossed around like a beach ball lately?

➡️Reacting to everything.
➡️Tolerating less.
➡️Attaching yourself to every headline and feeling activated in ways that feel bigger than the moment deserves?

⚠️Before you look outward I want to invite you to look inward first.

Here’s something most women don’t know. ⬇️⬇️⬇️

✅Hormonal decline can begin as early as the mid to late 30s! 5 to 7 years before perimenopausal symptoms even present.

✅Perimenopause itself can last 2 to 10 years.

✅That means the full window of hormonal transition for many women runs from approximately 35 to 55.

‼️That is up to 20 years of a shifting hormonal landscape that most women are navigating without any understanding of what is actually happening in their bodies.

Declining progesterone specifically lowers the threshold for stress reactivity.

⚠️Things you used to handle without difficulty become genuinely intolerable.

➡️That is not a character flaw.
✅That is biology worth understanding.

I wish someone had told me this earlier. It would have changed some things.

Knowledge is power here.

🙏🏼Get your labs.
🙏🏼Know your phase.
🙏🏼Understand what is driving what you are feeling before you attach it to something external.

The agency is yours. And it starts with looking inward.

This is Moose and me doing hill sprints on a Sunday morning. 🥰

6 rounds.
Sprint up as hard as I can go.
Walk down.
Sit.
Recover fully until my heart rate comes down.
Then go again.

That is real HIIT. And it is not what most people are doing.

True HIIT means all out effort followed by complete recovery.

Not sort of hard for 45 minutes in a colored theory class.

All out for 20 to 30 seconds and then genuinely resting until you can go again.

The law of diminishing returns applies here.

✅More is not better. Better is better.

Here is why this matters for women in midlife specifically.

➡️HIIT produces a hormonal response similar to heavy strength training.
It stimulates human growth hormone and triggers something called EPOC (Excess Post Exercise Oxygen Consumption).

Your body continues burning calories at an elevated rate for up to 24 hours after a true HIIT session as it works to restore itself to baseline.

➡️HIIT also improves VO2 max which is one of the strongest predictors of longevity available.

The better your body delivers and uses oxygen the longer and better you tend to live.

But here is the honest caveat for midlife women.

⚠️Intervals longer than 60 seconds can significantly increase cortisol.

For midlife women shorter bouts of truly intense effort may be more beneficial than longer sustained high intensity work.

2 to 3 sessions per week maximum.
8 minutes is enough when the intensity is genuine.

Any more and you risk elevating cortisol chronically which works directly against everything else you are building.

We get one day. ONE. 😂
Here’s why that’s appropriate.

Happy World Menopause Day!

Let’s at least get the science right since we are celebrating.🙌🏽🥳🎉

The distinction is worth making because these terms get lumped together constantly.

➡️Hormonal decline can actually begin 5 to 7 years before perimenopausal symptoms even present.

➡️Then perimenopause itself can last 2 to 10 years of fluctuation.

➡️So by the time you hit menopause you may have been on this WILD ride for well over a decade!

⚠️Menopause is technically just ONE day.

The 24 hours marking exactly 12 months since your last period.

Everything after that is POST menopause.

And honestly this ONE day IS worth celebrating!

✅Because the fluctuation is over.
✅Hormones drop and stay consistent.
✅The wild ride settles.

Now here is what I want to say clearly.

Estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone are NOT just sex hormones.

We have receptors for all 3 in virtually EVERY organ in the body.

Brain.
Heart.
Bone.
Muscle.
Gut.
Skin.

When they drop the effects are systemic NOT just reproductive.

Staying in the drop is a choice!

Optimization is also a choice. 😉✌️

And longevity is not about simply surviving the decline.

It is about living better longer‼️

Start with strength training and nutrition. Those are the foundation.

Then consider what supplementation with HRT, peptides, vitamins and minerals might address what has become depleted.

➡️Know your phase.
➡️Get your labs.
➡️Build from the inside out.

People keep asking about my skin at 55. What I use. Whether I do Botox, fillers or had a facelift.

The answer is not what they expect.

Strength training is my primary skin care routine along with maintaining my weight to avoid fluctuating.

Yo-yo dieting wreaks havoc on skin elasticity.

⚠️Bone density is systemic. When you lift consistently you build it everywhere including your facial structure.

➡️The cheekbones.
➡️The jaw.
➡️The foundation underneath everything.
➡️It is built from the inside.

Aside from strength training here is what I eat 90% of the time.

✅Beef. 150 to 200 grams of protein daily from ruminant meat.
✅A beef based protein shake, nose to tail.
✅Potatoes- all kinds.
✅Heavy cream in my coffee.
✅Real butter.
✅Mineral salt and water.
✅Alcohol is EXTREMELY limited. (It’s one of the most aging things you can put in your body).

The other 10% is whatever I want with a quick return back to this.

Consistency not perfection!

What you eat shows up on your skin. That is just biology.

Topically I use beef tallow. Clean soap and nothing else.

Its fatty acid profile closely mirrors human sebum. Fat soluble vitamins A D E and K support the skin barrier.

I have not used any filler in over 5 years.

I do a little Botox maybe once a year for my scowl lines. My elevens tend to show up when I am intense.

Which is often. 😂

My smile lines I am keeping.
I earned every one of them‼️

➡️Not a prescription.
✅Just an honest answer.

Built from the inside out.

Here is one way I cultivate peace around here.

🛑Block.
🛑Restrict.
🛑Delete contact.
🛑Leave the chat.

Not from a place of fragility.
From a place of clarity about who I am for and who I am not.

I am feisty by nature. I can get drawn into the noise faster than I would like to admit.😬

So I have had to be intentional about this.

➡️My page is not a debate floor.
➡️It is not for women looking for a fight or collecting grievances or wanting to argue about whether I should be living the life I am living.

I don’t cast a wide net. I never have. And I am not going to start performing for an audience that was never mine.

Peace is a principle.

And like any principle it requires active tending.

Sometimes that means the block button is the most principled thing available.

“Peace out” is a full sentence. ✌️

Day 18 of 30.

Grip strength and longevity. The connection worth knowing about.

A landmark 2015 study published in The Lancet followed over 139,000 people across 17 countries and found that grip strength was a STRONGER predictor of cardiovascular mortality than systolic blood pressure.

Every 11lb decrease in grip strength was associated with a 17% increase in cardiovascular mortality.

Your grip is not just about your hands!

It’s a reliable marker of overall muscle mass, neuromuscular function, and systemic health.

Here is a practical benchmark worth testing.

A dead hang from a bar with no straps.

➡️For women in their 40s 20 to 40 seconds is average and over 40 seconds is excellent.

➡️After 55 holding 10 to 20 seconds puts you above average for your age.

✅A full 60 seconds after 55 is elite.

Grip strength responds well to training.

Deadlifts, farmer carries, and heavy pulling movements build it directly.

⚠️Do not default to straps as a general rule. Let your grip work.

He finally landed in Phoenix.

I finally landed on the couch after the gym and one more walk with Moose.

His location pops up at the top of his texts when he checks in. That is enough. He is out there doing what he does and I am right here doing what I do.

He never has to wonder.

Tonight it’s under the barbell.
A Saturday night at the bar.

Just not that kind. 😂

This life took me a long time to accept honestly. I spent years thinking I needed to do more. Bring more. Justify my place more.

We have had long honest conversations about what we each want and what matters to him surprised me at first.

He supports me fully in building my business without the grind that used to define my worth.

And what he asks for in return is simpler than I expected.

🩷A warm home.
🩷A stocked fridge.
🩷A healthy and rested woman.
🩷A very large dog who missed him.

The hardest thing I have learned is how to receive that. To stop performing and just inhabit the life he has made possible.

➡️This is not oppression.
🩷This is coherence.

A life chosen deliberately and lived with intention.

And I have finally stopped apologizing for how simple and how full that actually is. 🙏🏼

Day 17 of 30.

Knees over toes is NOT dangerous.
Let’s put this one to rest.

A SINGLE study from 1978 concluded that allowing the knees to travel over the toes during a squat increased stress on the knee joint.

That finding got repeated so many times it became accepted as fact.

⚠️The problem is the research was flawed and subsequent studies have consistently shown otherwise.

Restricting the knee from traveling over the toe during a squat shifts the load from the knee onto the hip and lower back.

That is not safer.

It is just a different stress applied to a different joint.

The knee is designed to track over the toe. Walking up stairs, sitting down, picking something up off the floor all require the knee to travel forward.

Avoiding that pattern in training does not protect the knee.

It leaves the surrounding musculature underprepared for real life movement.

✅Proper mechanics matter.
✅Foot position matters.
✅Load progression matters.
➡️But knees over toes done correctly is not something to fear.

Moderation is NOT a strategy.

It is a permission slip to stay fuzzy about your choices.

✅Own what you eat.
✅Own what you drink.
✅Own the effects.

➡️And return to your principles as fast as possible.

That is the whole method.

You were told to eat 5 to 6 small meals a day to keep your metabolism burning.🤦‍♀️

⚠️That was not science.

➡️It was a theory repeated so many times it became accepted as fact.

Research published in PLoS ONE in 2024 found that eating 2 to 3 meals a day produces better blood sugar control and fat loss than grazing throughout the day.

Eating more frequently keeps insulin elevated all day and actually drives MORE hunger NOT less.

Here is what I eat and why.⬇️⬇️⬇️

Steak is my natural appetite suppressant.

Animal protein is one of the most powerful triggers for the hormones that tell your brain you are full and satisfied.

⚠️ It is nature’s GLP-1 without the prescription.

Potatoes keep me fuller longer than almost any other carbohydrate.

ALL potatoes.
Not just sweet potatoes.

Red potatoes work just as well and I like them better.

2 meals.
A protein shake.
That is the whole day.

The goal is simple.

➡️Appetite control.
➡️Adequate protein.
➡️Insulin regulation.

🛑That is not a diet.
🛑That is not a rule.

That is the foundation of longevity built on principles that have worked long before anyone invented a plan around them.
