I am extremely excited and blessed to announce my verbal commitment to Widener University to continue my academic and athletic career!! as we get into the colder colder season, a reminder that your mental health matters and you matter. It gets dark earlier so it may seem as though there isn’t as much light in the day, all thought that might be technically true, there is light in everyday. Choose to find the light. You deserve to be here, sometimes being here may seem lonely or scary, or even on top of the world, But there are always people out there that feel better because you exist. Believe that and listen to that. You matter and you are important! Your presence is wanted! by @lizagflavin

today is world mental health day. Mental health is something that I hold very close to my heart because I myself struggle with mental health issues on a daily. I am so grateful to have a family, friends and loved ones by my side to help me and the resources that have grown throughout the years to be able to lean on. I reminder you that everyone is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Talk to the person sitting alone at lunch, talk to someone you haven’t talked to in a while. Ask your friends if they are okay, smile at a stranger you could save a life and brighten someone’s day. Your life is meant to live, you are meant to be here and bring light to everyone around you. You are here for a purpose. Find that purpose and hold onto it. There is always help out there. Reach out to someone. People love you. I love you. You matter and you are wanted in this world. Take care of yourself and love yourself for who you are becuase there is nobody like you and that is amazing in itself. Check in on your friends and family. Remind them that you love them and that you have their back. The person who smiles the most might be the person struggling the most. Be that person. Be the light that we wish to see in the world. Happy World Mental Health Day! Break the stigma surrounding mental health and take care of yourself! I love you and you should love yourself too!!!
