This needs to be said:

Way back in the early 90s, when I was first starting college, something horrible happened to me. It affected my whole life and career goals.

I never reported it or told my parents because I was embarrassed. In my small town we were taught not to air our dirty laundry.

I struggled alone.

What is so disturbing to me is that when my friends heard about it, they said that I was making it up. No one cared. No one asked me if I was ok.

And here we are in 2026, where the majority of them have daughters & grandchildren and are now so gung ho on retweeting the Cornell 7 case.

So it’s not only men that need to learn how to not standby, observe and not say anything, but it’s also women and our friends.

Life has a way of coming around.

Until it happens to you.

Late post:
Last month, I was able to work with, what was known at that time as ‘La Red de Varamientos’ in 1992 in La Parguera. At that time, Moises was in the news. The program has since grown and is now established in Bayamón. I had the most amazing experience to reconnect with the team at the Manatee Conservatory in PR. It was magical!

I feel so blessed! I wish I could post more pictures of all the rescue animals I connected with that day, but I can’t. Because we need the program and animals to be safe.

But, I can tell you that it was amazing! PR is helping to rescue manatees, pelicans, turtles, owls and so many marine animals that need our help!

I feel so fortunate to able to be a part of this ongoing history, where we as humans, are helping nature heal and continue to evolve. If you live in PR or planning to visit, you can visit the Conservatory in Bayamón for a small fee and tour. I can tell you, that it’s worth it. ❤️🙏🏻 by @lizasworld2
