Imagine waking up and suddenly not being able to move one side of your body. Your speech slurs, your vision blurs, and fear takes over—is this a stroke, or another hemiplegic migraine?

This is the reality I live with. It’s rare, it’s terrifying, and it’s so often dismissed as “just a headache.” But hemiplegic migraines are a serious neurological condition that can change my whole day in an instant.

I’m sharing my story to raise awareness—for myself, for others living with invisible battles, and for the people who have never heard of this condition. Awareness brings understanding. Understanding brings compassion. 💜

A year ago today, I had no idea my life was about to change forever.

I didn’t know that one day I would leave my house for help and spend the next year in and out of hospital beds. I didn’t know I would lose my health, my independence, my career and the person I used to be. I didn’t know I would spend months searching for answers only to be told I have incurable neurological conditions that I will carry for the rest of my life.

This is my story. I hope you stick around to hear more 🤍
