I tried to take a progress picture on the floor and got photobombed by 2 beasts who thought I was getting up to feed them dinner. Anyway. It’s WIP Wednesday and I’ve been very productive on the norma sweater. Im listening to the iron flame audio book [dramatized] while I do it and i’m loving it. Thank you for asking. by @lizisknitting

didn’t do a wip wednesday because all i had then was about 8 rows of the collar so here we are today! I finished the first round of the color work pattern and it is just lovely! and so soft! i am ADORING my new metal chiaogoo needles i got for Christmas i feel like i’m going so fast. yay!

RESULTS ARE IN‼️‼️ Lauren liked the sweater. This beauty was a labor of love (and a labor of CASH). But here it is after being blocked on the woman herself! I think it’s so cute. This is the Blanket Stitch Beanie by MeganFaithMakes! I found this pattern on tiktok and thought the stitching was super cute even though mine turned out a little looser than the original. I made this for Hannah for secret Santa and it’s soooo soft! Knit with superwash wool held together with kid silk mohair. Super warm and fuzzy☃️☃️☃️ by @lizisknitting

I saw a tiktok about sugar cookie bars this morning and had no other plans for the day so I decided to make some. The recipe is from @bromabakery and I added some christmas sprinkles on top. Perfect texture on the inside and the cream cheese frosting is divine. Love!

Also sydney if you’re reading this there’s almond extract in the cookie part so idk how you’ll feel but I wanted to warn you by @lizisknitting

the great girl house stocking reveal of 2024🎄🎅🏼❤️

I’ve been working on this on and off since mid-October and I could’ve finished them soooo much faster if I actually tried to. At least I got them finished 2 weeks before Christmas lol. I used a pattern from Knit Purl Hunter that I found on Pinterest and I love how classic and christmas-y these feel!

I used cheap acrylic yarn for this project because it was my first time 1. Making a stocking and 2. Doing any sort of color work and I am super pleased with how they turned out! On slide 5 you can see a discard stocking that was my big trial and error experience. I used needles that were too big and was trying to figure out my tension with multiple colors. It’s still cute but it’s awkwardly big and just sloppier than the others. Oh well. Idk if my floats looks good/even/have good tension but it feels nice and there’s only a little bit of puckering in some places so overall i’m very happy with my work! Woohoo!

This was also my first time trying a duplicate stitch— I used that for embroidering the names on each one. I understand why people say it can be easier than doing the actual color work but i don’t think it looks as good. It’s always fun trying new techniques though 👍🏼

yesterday while baking a (probably bad) cheesecake I got papped by sydney in my Liz Young FW2024 haute couture apron. I made this very sporadically over the course of like 3 months this summer bc I would do like one step and then take a month off. It was really easy! I just traced an apron I already had and liked! This was my first time using a sewing machine since I was like 11 which made it a fun little project.

The hardest part was making the adjustable neck strap, but even then it was just how to thread the straps through the hardware, and once I figured that out, the rest was history! Yay❤️🍓🍓🍓 by @lizisknitting
