Spring is sneaky on Martha’s Vineyard. Sunny one day and fogged in the next. A rainy morning turns into a glorious afternoon. Strong winds make your head spin and just as quickly subside. But then the daffodils start to bloom, which means warm weather is coming. There’s a giddiness to the touch of spring. Like a soft battle cry - we made it! Every day is a little nicer and soon it will be summer when the idea of bundling up under layers of clothes and scraping mud off heavy horse blankets becomes a distant memory. So, here’s a little slice of snow on an island off the coast of Massachusetts, starring Benjamin and Bodhi! taken in Martha's Vineyard by @lizlapidus

So long 2025! ➡️➡️➡️

It was our first full year on Martha’s Vineyard. They said we’d never survive a winter (fair - I’m from Miami).

We thrived!

Hiking on the trails behind our house, a gorgeous new barn (with the old barn still in my heart), chasing the kids around the world, swimming up until Halloween, great new friends, dear old friends coming to visit, creating new traditions, lots of writing, poker bitches, book clubs and learning to bake challah. Oh yeah - and Jeff bought a medical practice (no, he’s not a doctor).

For me, every year is the year of the horse. But I’m learning into this one! I see you 2026! by @lizlapidus

Seeing the AIDS Memorial Quilt on display is a powerful and moving experience. As a board member for a decade, I was lucky to see it many times, including here at Piedmont Park with Cate in 2015. It tells important stories about beautiful lives lost too soon. Silence equals death and I will always honor World AIDS Day.

Super excited about joining my first MV board - Featherstone Center for the Arts, a year-round hub for collaborative opportunities for Island artists, residents and visitors.

We had our annual board retreat today during the Holiday Show, up thru Dec 17. Come shop!

Martha’s Vineyard showed up last night to support Rhode Island’s next governor - Helena Buonanno Foulkes.

As the head of CVS Health, Helena lead the charge to take cigarettes off the shelves. A bold and transformational move, it was the right thing to do. A lifelong Rhode Islander, her business acumen and courage, combined with heart and humanity, will serve the state well.

Belated bday post! I’ve never been much of a bday person. When you throw parties for a living… well, you know the score.

But I leaned into this one.

Not a major milestone bday. Just a little pivot of perspective. @jclevy62 threw me a party and my besties from our 20s came to stay.
