What a woman
Gloria Steinem

Inspiration for Jules
In possibly my favourite scene ever written - by the magical and insanely smart @mrleobutler

Living
A spliff and a night in with friends
Two conversations
Men and women
Music and politics
Every night on stage with @kennydoughty @lizwhite2021 and @actthemacklin was a joy.

Jules ends her argument with "we can't all be Gloria Steinem"... but maybe we should. Or at least, maybe we should give it a go. by @lizwhite2021

🌈 #BFIFlare is one of my favourite film festivals so I’ve rounded up a few more faves from the program to look out for when they hit wider release.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Queer Welsh storytelling is on the rise this year with Madfabulous and now On The Sea from filmmaker Helen Walsh.

🎣 Set in a remote fishing community, the film explores forbidden desires in this harsh, rural environment where queer lust can no longer be denied.

♥️ Heartfelt, elegant, and ruggedly beautiful, put this one on your radar asap before its wider release.

I first read this play in 2019, mere months before Covid changed the world as we knew it. I kept thinking about what was going to happen to this beautiful play now that lock-downs and face masks had changed everything. Luckily, Leo set about the unenviable process of including the ensuing years, ensuring that Living is as relevant now as it was then. Within these pages are the other events that changed our lives, collectively and personally for the Milne family, over the last 55 years. Leo Butler has written an ode to living; the highs, lows, the laughs and the woes of what it means to be born and then to realise that one day you are going to die, so you better get on with it. I am beyond thrilled to be a part of this production. It truly is a thing of beauty, a remarkable play. The Premiere of Living by Leo Butler, directed by Abigail Graham will be on at Sheffield Playhouse 14th March- 4th April. Please come. It will be a ride xxx @mrleobutler @abstergraham @sheffieldtheatres by @lizwhite2021
