Constructing this headpiece felt like I was assembling a 3-D puzzle. While the overall form needed to have the appearance of randomness, I knew early on that the placement of each brick was crucial to making the headpiece both structurally sound and visually dynamic. One of the biggest challenges I ran into early on was that the bricks around my eyes blocked my peripheral vision. Not a big deal in terms of comfort, but a huge annoyance if you’re trying to assess a wearable sculpture from multiple angles. I often had to rely on filming myself with my phone rather than use a mirror to be able to view it from different vantage points. I think that’s why I appreciate this particular portrait so much. As I could never see myself properly from this angle while wearing the headpiece, it wasn’t until I saw this photo that I realized that all of that hard work I put into considering it from a 360 perspective had actually paid off. A good reminder that sometimes you really do have to “trust the process”, at times literally blindly.🙈

Kicking off spooky season by finally debuting some gorgeous portraits that @evanmannphoto took of me in my costume last Halloween (more to come later this week!) Any early guesses for what my costume will be this year? 🎃

Happy belated anniversary to my Boo @pizzabutch 💕 This year we celebrated by taking a couple’s pottery class together – a first for both of us! Fingers crossed my stress pot (as I’ve since named it because damn if it isn’t harder than it looks) doesn’t explode in the kiln, but either way I still had the best time because I was doing something new with my sweetheart. Here’s to another 6 years! 🏺✨

Such a fun night! Love everything these queens/king do and stand for. Turns out combining art and activism can be really fucking fierce 🌎✨

And thank you @themcfall for hooking me up with guest passes to the Meet & Greet! 💕

They grow so fast…especially when you photo-dump 2 years of photos in a week. But seriously, I’m absolutely over the moon for this kid. He’s just the sweetest little guy, already so funny and smart, and the apple of the entire family’s eye. Love you so much, Chance! 🥰

Very belated announcement, but on July 29, 2024, my brother and one of his best friends @happylittlelemoncake created one of the best new humans on the planet – meet my nephew, Chance! 💕

This is obviously old news to those in the know, but because life be lifing, I haven't had time until now to sort through the hundreds of photos I've taken of him over the past two years. So in honor of this special little guy, I'm finally posting a few batches of my favorite snapshots of him and the family so far. Apologies if you're not into baby content on your feed, but I'm sick of racking up bad Auntie demerits and it's time to show off this cute kid!

First time attempting to capture the night sky in the Catskills. I didn’t have a tripod or any experience shooting long exposures at night, so I just placed my camera on the ground with a timer and shot blind. Sometimes the sky just does all the work for you. 💫

Knowing how hard it is for new moms to actually get in pictures with their kids, I was extra happy to capture the sweetest candid of @shufflehussle 🥰
