Three families have reached out and are dealing with sudden sorry business, I’ve been given permission to share that 1 death is a young suicide. So we’re urgently calling on our community to show up and support during these difficult times. Burying a child is hard enough so let’s help at-least lift some of the financial burden.

Suss him out family he is off today to his first day of an 8 week TAFE accredited Barista course at Addi Road Community Centre (Which I’ll also let you know he helped steer the idea and pushed to make this happen for the youth in community OUSSS)

My body feels broken, but my spirit still fights.

I’m trying to heal, just me and this pain,
Waiting for sunshine after a night full of rain.
My body is tired, my bones feeling weak,
But there’s a strength in me that I need to speak.

The bruises will fade, the scars might remain,
But nobody sees the exhaustion or strain.
The world keeps on moving, while I’m standing still,
Trying to recover, fighting with all my will.

Some days I feel stronger, some days I fall back,
Some days I can’t see how much strength that I lack.
I’m frustrated, I’m hurting, I’m sick of being strong,
Sick of pretending that nothing is wrong.

Because healing ain’t pretty, it’s slow and it’s real,
It’s learning the patience that sickness can steal.
It’s resting when everything tells you to fight,
It’s making it through just one more moment of fright.

And the hardest part isn’t the pain in my skin,
It’s fighting a battle that nobody sees within.
The world sees me standing and thinks I’m okay,
But they don’t see the struggle that follows me each day.

So I’ll take it day by day, breath by breath,
Give my body the fuel it needs to take these steps.
I might be healing, but I’m not giving in,
This body has carried me through worse I’ve got thick skin.

For healing takes courage, and rest isn’t weak,
And strength isn’t measured by a mountains peak.
I may not be who I was before I got hurt,
But I’m still here, still worthy, still know my worth.

And when I look back on these days of despair,
I’ll remember the fight, the courage, the care.
I survived every moment when the road felt unknown,
And even through sickness, I kept bringing me home. by @lizzidizzi79

M.OB callout, we are currently trying to fill 4 major MA campaigns this week for support with sorry business and travel with the goal set at $2400 ($600 per family) along with the weekly call-outs for support with bills, living expenses etc. It’s the small cost of giving, that truly helps the huge cost of living. Mutual aid isn’t charity.
It’s community looking after community.
It’s understanding that any one of us can need a hand, and knowing that when we give, we are strengthening our communities.
M.OB is about the clarity of giving and living, caring and sharing what we can, when we can, without judgement, without shame and without expecting anything in return.
Because a simple few dollars, a meal, a lift, a bill paid or a family supported makes a massive difference. Please give if you can, support, donate and share.

HERE TO HEAR 🖤

Suicide.. LETS TALK ABOUT IT!!

I’m a survivor.

At 9 years old, I tried to hang myself. The rope broke.
As a young teenager, I swallowed my grandparents’ pills and ended up having my stomach pumped.

I share this not for shock value, pity or attention.
I share it because I’m still here and willing to hear!

And because we need to stop treating suicide like a dirty word that society whispers about behind closed doors.

There was me a little girl who didn’t know how to put her pain into words. There was a young teenager who couldn’t see a way through what she was feeling.

But I survived.
And this survivor deserves to be heard.

Here to Hear is about creating spaces where people can talk before they reach that point. Where saying “I’m not okay” isn’t met with shame, judgement or silence.

If you’re struggling right now, I want you to know this:
You don’t have to carry it alone.
Talk to someone. Tell someone. Sit with someone. Make the call. Send the message.

And if someone tells you they’re struggling LISTEN!! Don’t dismiss them. Don’t tell them they have nothing to be sad about. Just be there.

Suicide doesn’t need silence.
It needs conversation.
It needs compassion.
It needs people willing to hear.

I’m still here. And I’m here to hear you. 🖤
