Type 1 diabetes sucks. There’s really no pretty way to say it.

Some days it’s exhausting constantly thinking about blood sugar, insulin, food, highs, lows, alarms, and everything in between. Sometimes I wish I could just wake up and not have to think about any of it.

But then I remind myself how much I still have to be thankful for. 🤍

I’m young. I’m strong. I’m motivated. I’m full of dreams, ambitions, goals, and so many things I still want to accomplish. Type 1 diabetes may be part of my life, but it does not get to define who I am or how far I’m going.

Most importantly, I know I’m not walking through any of this alone. God is right beside me through every high, every low, every scary moment, every good day, and every hard one. 🙏🏼

I may not always understand why certain things are part of my story, but I trust that God has a purpose for my life bigger than anything I can see right now.

So yes… Type 1 diabetes sucks. 😂
But I’m still here. Still dreaming. Still working. Still growing. Still believing.

And with God by my side, I know everything is going to be okay. 🤍✨

One day, one prayer, one blood sugar at a time. 🩸🙏🏼
