A few images that captured my interest on my walk this morning around the Chula Vista golf course. It is overcast and humid, a perfect climate for walking. A few grab shots on my walk this morning. Notice the poppies growing in a road post- nature finds a way! A huge gray heron took off before I could capture its image where the turtles are located. They are working on the Chula Vista golf course and you have to get there earlier before the machines in order to capture the birds. Nature comes to my backyard! I have five hummingbird feeders on my patio and I am amazed at the birds that visit - warblers, Hooded Orioles, hummingbirds and bees! They create chaos as they chase each other and work to avoid the bees. I am delighted and in awe! I have multiple photos and videos of them and the hooded Orioles are the hardest to capture because as soon as I get close to the glass of my patio, they take off! On my walk today, a burning bush overlooking the Chula Vista golf course that has flooded in some areas from our recent rains. The first time that I have seen a double crested cormorant so closely and egret playing in the water as well. An overcast and cloudy day with more rain coming in tomorrow. Merry Christmas, everyone! So the elf picture was a creation done by one of the counselors at TCRG for a virtual Christmas gathering. She made one for everyone that’s a part of the organization and it was so much fun that I thought I would share it and Instagram cuts off my little cute shoes however you get the idea. And of course, the other picture is the real reason for our Christmas! Changing light at the marina before sunset tonight created opportunities for some interesting images. Egret in the sun, sailboats, rainbow off to the side of the sun and more eye candy than I am sharing. (And I forgot that Instagram cuts off the top of the images! Oops!
