Just another day in the life of jokester, and I’m not mad about it. Apple picking was fun, but posing with EVERY animal statue at the orchard petting zoo was the chef’s kiss. Far better than allowing a goat that looked to be eating for seventeen leave slobber between the cracks of your fingers because she may have left a crumb behind.

On June 25, 2016 I met the love of my life face to face for the first time. Some people doubt love at first sight is real, but I think we both knew without a doubt that this was the real deal. It was a messy whirlwind of trying to unite two separate families with different backgrounds into a perfect blend of utter chaos. But we have lived it and loved it, and I wouldn’t change a thing.

If you’d have asked me 10 years ago where I’d be today, I’d NEVER have guessed I’d be a Jesus loving, stay at home mom of 6, grandma to 1.5 little boys - making art, sporting a handsome, big-hearted hardworking husband, living life to the absolute fullest.

I’d never imagined that 10 years to the DAY after our first date, those two cuties who met and bonded for the first time playing games at Chuck E Cheese would be closing on their first home together. They’re barely adults and making smart business decisions for their future as friends and family, and we couldn’t be more proud.

God is so good! We think we know what’s best for ourselves, but the plan has been laid. The book has been written, and the author is undoubtedly laughing at the stories we try to create for ourselves. I didn’t see this one coming, but I’m so glad it did. ❤️

This father, he’s the kind of guy whose favorite things all start with F. He’s also the kind of guy who feels deeply, fights hard, fuels fires, fiercely protects those he loves, and figures even the most impossible seeming situations out. He’s both funny and ferocious. He’s our rock, our foundation, led by faith and love of the Lord.
