SLU Lions beat the UNA Lions in Hammond in a thrilling matchup. Always grateful to be on the call with @chasegis

Southeastern on the road until homecoming week in the literal middle of October so it’s gonna be a while until I get to call one of these again.

Lions traveling to ULM next week still trying to get the FBS bugaboo off their backs vs the Warhawks at 3:30 pm.

Come on boys. Let’s put it together.

Well not the way you want the season to begin for the lions but it was undeniably a very fun football game to kick things off last Thursday night at Strawberry Stadium.

Lions pick things up on Saturday at South Alabama and return to the Berry the following Saturday against North Alabama. #lionup🦁 #sportsbroadcasting #broadcasting by @ljloving_424

I don’t really know how to put it in as many words, but Levi passed away earlier today for reasons we don’t really know. His heart stopped and he couldn’t breathe, and the vets tried their best but he was gone.

Life comes at you fast and it goes by you even faster. I only had Levi for around four and a half years but it felt like forever in the best way. I don’t really think I ever considered something could happen to take him from me, but I seem to have been wrong.

The longest hour of my life was from when you collapsed to the moment the vet told me you were gone.

From the last picture we took together to the very first video the night we met, Levi you have been my best friend.

From the bottom of my heart, buddy I will miss you until the day that I die. I don’t really know what to say or what to do, because it all happened so fast. I got him going into my second semester of college and he just missed making it through grad school with me.

I’m going to miss him more than anyone else I have ever missed, and right now, I’m still trying to process that he’s never gonna shed in my apartment again, never gonna step on my stomach while I’m sleeping, never going to bark at me after a bad day because all he knew was that I was home and he was happy to see me. He was the best part of every day and the weight on top of me at night.

The love of a boy and his dog are nearly unmatched but the love I held and will continue to hold for Levi is going to leave a scar on my heart until time comes to a halt.

He didn’t get to meet everyone but he loved everyone he met. He was a good boy until the end, and I really just can’t believe he’s actually gone. I already miss you, Levi. I’ll see you again someday. Everything is going to feel so empty but I’m going to try to live for you.

Rest in peace, Superdog.

Sure, 23 is perhaps the least significant birthday since you turned 11, but it does mean one thing. I was born on this day in 2003 and that is an undeniable fact. I’d show you my birth certificate but I don’t carry it on my person, so you’ll have to take my word for it.

Hopefully a big year for me ahead. I should finish my master’s degree and graduate in December, moving into the work force and the real world before 24, which in plain terms is utterly terrifying. But hey, it does also mean I’m one year closer to getting kicked off my parent’s insurance which is just thrilling.

Here’s to 23, and here’s to hopefully 60 or so more. by @ljloving_424

Solo effort this weekend calling the series between the Lions and the Islanders from Friday-Saturday. Very exhausting but overall a fun time I had up there by myself.

At least the series wasn’t boring. Might be doing the lady lions final series before the Southland tournament but that is TDB. Either way those girls are on a tear.

Lions baseball still around second in conference but they’re pushing.

Grateful as always to be able to call some great Lions games, but it feels like the couples time I’ve gotten to do baseball I get to see something special. Bullpen game from southeastern turns into an upset of #8 Oklahoma at the Pat.

On the call with the great DJ Shake for some history in the Barbier era, and can’t wait until I get to call the next one.

Lady Lions swept HCU in run rule fashion across three games this weekend. Got to call the doubleheader on Friday and witness 27 runs come across in 11 innings total, while also watching Maria Detillier hit for the cycle, the First Lady Lion to do so since 2010.

Grateful as always, and even better, I’ll be on call for the baseball game against Oklahoma on Tuesday night.

Results may not have been what SLU fans hoped for but it was a couple of valiant efforts from the lady lions and the men’s lions teams against the vaqueros

Grateful as always to be on the call, joined by the great @natkellyyy_ and can’t wait for the next games I get to call, possibly baseball or softball in a couple weeks.

Looking ahead at an entire year seems like an impossible task. Everything seems so far away, so out of reach, but looking back on a year makes you wonder how the time slipped by so quickly.

It’s difficult to really commodify an entire year into a few paragraphs or even a video. 2025 was a tumultuous year. A lot of dips and dives and heart-pounding rides. I even started a podcast, if you can believe it.

I traveled a lot this year, from Virginia to DC, Lake Tahoe to Yosemite, across the state of Louisiana for various things. I started graduate school and begin working as a teachers assistant and graduate assistant at Southeastern.

I spent time with a lot of wonderful people this year, including but not limited to my fellow GA’s. I got to continue calling games for Southeastenr athletics and witnessed remarkable things, from a sports center buzzer beater by Sam Hines, to the lions retaining the Riverbell trophy, it was a good year for Lions sports.

I saw movies that will stick with me fora long time, I went to concerts, rock, whatever genre Hozier is, and listened to more music than I would care to admit.

2025 however, was a year about family for me. It started by staying with my cousin in DC, and it’ll end at the toll of midnight next to my loved ones.

We gained a lot this year, but we also lost some. Petsey, my grandmother, had been fighting degenerative illnesses for a while, but it caught up to her before Christmas, and we had to say goodbye sooner than any of us would have liked.

Fortunately, it allowed us to come together as a family and celebrate her and enjoy each other’s company.

When I say the year had a lot going on, it had ups, it had downs, but when I look at this year I’ll remember the ups a lot more than the downs.

Thank you to everyone who made this year as special as it was. I love you all. See you guys next year. Be good people. by @ljloving_424

Yes I grew a mustache for this game leave me alone.

Getting to call the Riverbell classic is the highlight of my time at Southeastern so far, and to watch the lions walk away with a win at Strawberry stadium meant even more.

Jobs not finished, as Southeastern earned the sixteen seed and a home game this Saturday against Illinois State in the opening round of the FCS playoffs.

Another home game another dominant victory for our lions. Jaylon Domingeaux and D’Khai Joseph came out of this with deserved offensive and special teams players of the week, and the lions came out of it looking better than ever.

A big one next week against Lamar, as the polls continue to disrespect SLU. Honor as always to be on broadcast for lions athletics.

Next game: Beaumont, TX vs Lamar

Next home game: The Riverbell Classic

Lions have moved up to #19 in the coaches poll, and got their first back to back shutouts since 1960.

On the call for the Homecoming Centennial against Northwestern St and it was an honor as always
