Last Monday I was busy earning my final star, so it seems fitting to celebrate the medals earned this Monday! I only have immense gratitude and pleasure reflecting back on my @wmmajors. Running afforded me the opportunity to explore some incredible cities and meet some of the most amazing people. Thankful for the 6️⃣ ⭐️ journey and all that it represents ♥️

Berlin Marathon 🇩🇪 (take 2)

My first Berlin in 2022 was one of those races where everything came together. A huge personal best, negative splits, and a course that quickly became my favorite of the World Marathon Majors. Running through the historic landmarks and so many incredible parts of this city is pretty hard to beat.

This time, the goal was different.

The training leading into Berlin wasn’t what I had hoped it would be, and I knew I wasn’t arriving as prepared as I had been the first time. But it was the hand I was dealt, and I decided to make the most of the race and more importantly, the experience.

Because this time, I wasn’t running Berlin alone. @kradhaus and I decided we were going to run it together… and step by step, that is exactly what we did❤️

There’s something pretty special about crossing the finish line of a marathon with someone you love, especially on a course that already holds such a special place in my heart.

Berlin take 2: different race, different goal, equally unforgettable🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🇩🇪✨

Back in Berlin 🇩🇪

The bib is picked up, my name is on the athlete wall, and that little ⭐️ next to my name is a fun reminder that I’m a Six Star finisher.

When I ran my first Berlin Marathon in 2022, I left with my third star, and for the first time, the Six Star goal became a true reality! I would spend 2023 and 2024 achieving that goal.

One marathon. One city. One very familiar finish line. Let’s go 🏃‍♀️

I was gifted the new @shokzusa OpenFit Air 2, and WOW 🤩 I am SO impressed!

✨ Light as air: Immediately upon opening the box, I could see how these headphones earned their name! They are incredibly lightweight, and you truly can barely feel them. I put them to the ultimate test by immediately taking them out for a long run, and I honestly forgot I was wearing them. I kept checking to make sure they were still there! 😂

🎶 Sound quality: Out of all my Shokz headphones, these have my favorite sound quality so far! They give you the rich listening experience of earbuds without actually sitting inside your ears. The sound is seriously impressive!

🔋 Battery life: INCREDIBLE! I took these out of the box when I received them and still haven’t needed to charge them. They offer up to 36 hours of total listening time with the charging case, and a quick 10-minute charge provides up to 3 additional hours. 🙌

So far, I’ve been loving them for my runs and listening to audiobooks around the house. They’re quickly becoming a favorite!

Overall impressions 👇

💗 Pros:
• Fantastic sound quality
• Truly lightweight and comfortable
• Cute colors and a sleek design
• Incredible battery life

🤔 Considerations:
• The fit has been comfortable for my ears, but the earbuds do seem a little small. I’m curious whether they would fit larger ears as comfortably.
• The 30° angled speaker design directs sound toward your ear, but I personally found that I could hear less of my surroundings compared with my Shokz OpenRun. Something to consider if situational awareness is a priority for your activities.
• I’ve also received feedback that my voice can be difficult to hear during phone calls while wearing them.

My takeaway: The OpenFit Air 2 has impressed me with its comfort, sound quality, and battery life. I’ve especially enjoyed them for long runs and everyday listening. While there are a few things to consider depending on your fit and how you plan to use them, I’ve really enjoyed getting to try these out!

Have you tried the OpenFit Air 2 yet? What do you think? 👀

Thank you, @shokzusa, for letting me try these out! 💗

Boulder Sunset Triathlon 🌅 🏊‍♀️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️

After my mile-long swim last weekend, I was stressing about another mile-long swim today. I knew I needed a win, so I dropped down to the sprint distance for the first time, and WOW, what an amazing day 🥹

🏊🏼‍♀️ Swim: Best open water swim yet! I swam continuously and didn’t stop once! All those open water training times finally translated to race day. Now, if I could just get my pool training times to do the same 🤣. Big bonus that @schwienie and I got to swim together for a good portion. It was so comforting having a friendly face in the water with me.

🚴🏼‍♀️ Bike: Wrote some BIG checks on the bike 💸. Highest power output AND fastest speed I’ve had at this distance. Such a fun course with the perfect mix of uphill, ripping downhill, and fast flat sections.

🏃🏼‍♀️ Run: I wasn’t necessarily able to cash all those big checks from the bike on the run 😂, but I still put together a strong effort and kept it within GMP.

Ending the season on a HIGH note with a Top 10 AG finish today! 🏆✨

Changing the plan and taking the pressure off gave me a chance to end the Triathlon season on a high note 🩷

The evening runs are getting cooler, and I had a little bit of pumpkin spice cold foam in my iced coffee today… I’m feeling good 🎃☕️🍂

My @berlinmarathon playlist is coming together and it is lighting a🔥… now the only question is, which @shokzusa headphones will I use? 👀🎧

Swim Across America 🏊‍♀️

So incredibly proud to work for an organization that is doing such incredible work to advance pediatric cancer research and change the lives of kids and families. ❤️ This morning’s Swim Across America event was such a powerful reminder of why the work matters. Grateful to be part of the Children’s Hospital Colorado community and to swim for a future where every child has the chance to thrive. 🏊‍♀️💙🎗️

Make Waves to Fight Cancer 🏊‍♀️ 🌊

On Saturday, I will be participating in an open water swim, with Swim Across America. Since 2018, SAA-Denver has raised over $1.2 Million for Children’s Hospital Colorado! I would greatly appreciate your help and support in reaching my fundraising goal of $500, to help make an impact against pediatric cancer in Colorado. Thank you 💛

Georgetown to Idaho Springs Half Marathon 🏃‍♀️🏃🏔️

When I did this race for the first time, 20 years ago, it was a huge accomplishment and I never imagined my running would be what it is today! It’s really special to be able to return to this race, and use it to support my next big goal, marathon #️⃣1️⃣1️⃣

We used the race as a training run for our upcoming @berlinmarathon and did some alternating over/under miles. Thankful @laura.runs.co introduced me to this workout, although it always makes me want an In and Out double double afterwards 🍔 🤣

Run 🏃‍♀️ ⏭️ Bike 🚴‍♀️

The order of a triathlon makes a lot more sense when you do the activities out of order 🤣. My legs were toast on the bike after my run 🥵

Happy first day of August, to those who celebrate #iykyk
