My submission for 52Frames _unfinished which also became unfinished because I just missed it by about 30 seconds! Never fear - life goes on and life can make a mockery of time constraints, I’m learning to not get too distraught each and every time I miss submitting or when the photo that I have taken is decidedly horrible! Photos chosen for this weeks 52 Frames theme of #highkey #52frames_highkey There are two of the tree because one had a washing line in front of it that I tried to remove but did a very botched job but it’s not so easy to see in this small format so I posted it anyway! My submission for 52 Frames which I didn’t get in AGAIN due to everything going wrong … took some great photos Sunday night using a lamp at the block of flats across the road which my friend here Lindy very kindly modelled her legs against then this morning I somehow deleted them along with EVERYTHING on my card - photos from the last two years, I’m devastated! No … they weren’t backed up because I literally cannot afford anything else but surviving at this point in time! So… then thought I’d try these with window light( which isn’t really what the brief wanted but… last minute measure! Thought I had nearly an hour to go and then realised I had only four minutes to go to submit! An old tree in the back yard which I have photographed a few times before! ( it fascinates me!) This time it was for 52 Frames for their theme of Wabi Sabi #52frames_wabisabi which very roughly translates as the imperfection and impermanence of life, the fact that beauty is to be found in the imperfect, a rusted lock, peeling paint, a clouded rainy sky, a wrinkled face etc. It’s all around us and we need to see it and it’s place in our life rather than discard or disregard it!! This is the first time I’ve done this but I keep missing getting my submission in on time, as in have pressed the “submit” button and as am waiting it to happen the deadline ticks past and everything shuts down…one way to get me to be more organised I spose 👌🏼! Oh well, It’s all good practice regardless ( and I DO need that! … Have to admit this photo is directly inspired by two photographers here on Instagram - @dogwalkdiarynyc and @judithapolonia_nature .
