Celebrating the acquisition of Ernesto Cardenal’s archives, LLILAS Benson will host a free and public poetry reading by Cardenal, a roundtable discussion, and a reception on November 15 at 4 pm. The archive of Cardenal, a renowned Nicaraguan Catholic priest, poet, activist, and politician, includes rare editions of Cardenal’s writings, translations of his works, interviews, correspondence with key Nicaraguan figures in politics and culture, and photographs like the one above. by @llilasbenson
