Davey, missing his wife, begins to drown his sorrows in the bottle, but their son, Lucas, finds one small detail that suggests his mother's death might not have been an accident. What lengths will they go to find out what really happened, and find their way back to normalcy in a life without her?

"Even if it Ends" is a realistic fiction mystery set in the 90s. If teen sleuths and nostalgic poets are your kind of characters, then this book is for you!

Hi, I'm Lauren Meyer! I'm an aspiring author currently editing and revising a labor of love that I started in 2019. I've been writing for as long as I can remember (my parents love to remind me of my first saga, written in third grade, where I ended every generation with the phrase "and then she died"). I'm a working mama living in Grand Rapids, MI, trying to build an audience and navigate the world of traditional publishing. What can you expect from this page? Teasers for the book I'm currently working on, as well as updates on any progress I make toward publishing, reccs/shares for what I'm reading, and probably some sneak peeks at my (many) WIPs! Please consider dropping a like and/or a follow and sticking around!

Friday #vibedrop! I'm excited to welcome you into the seting of "Even if it Ends", a realistic fiction mystery that takes place in the fall of 1995, with scattered flashbacks to the past. The death of a mother that looks ordinary at first, a poet drowning his sorrows, and a teenager who just won't leave it alone. Like, share, and follow for more sneak peeks into these characters and their story.

POV: you're a writer who also has a full time job so you gotta squeeze in some creative time on your lunch breaks 😅 Catch me in my car working on my query letter (eep)!

What do I do when I'm not writing (or at work, or being a mama)? Three things: I'm a little obsessed with diamond painting kits. They're nice mindless art projects that help me slow down. 💎 I'm also a plant mom so I'm always trying to keep on top of watering, repotting, and propagating! 🪴 Lastly, I spend a ton of time in my kitchen baking! Cookies are my go to but I dabble in the occasional pastry or cake. 🍪 by @lmeyerwrites
