Meet Steph 👋🏼 the other half of LMG Ceilings.

While Luke is usually the first point of contact and the one you’ll see out on site, I’m the one working behind the scenes keeping everything moving.

From client communication to marketing and all the little things that happen between the first enquiry and a finished job, my role is making sure our clients feel informed and looked after along the way.

LMG started as Luke’s baby, but somewhere along the way it became very much ours 😂

These days we’re building the business side by side, raising our family at the same time, and trying to create something we’re both really proud of.

Thanks for being apart of our journey! 👏 by @lmgceilings

Meet Luke 👋 The man behind LMG Ceilings.

Luke started plastering at just 17, and nearly 18 years later, he still genuinely loves what he does.

He’s the one you’ll usually speak to first, the one walking through your job with you, and more often than not, the one on the tools making sure everything is done properly.

LMG Ceilings has grown a lot over the years, but Luke’s approach hasn’t really changed; take pride in your work, look after people, and never cut corners. (He’s also a perfectionist)

If you’ve worked with us before, there’s a good chance you already know this face. 👍 by @lmgceilings

There’s something pretty special about finding the right people to work alongside.

The people who just get it.

You know each other’s strengths, you find your rhythm, and eventually you get to the point where you barely need to say anything- you just know what needs to happen next.

Whether it’s in a trade, an office, a small business or anywhere else, the people around you can completely change the way work feels.

Skills can be taught and experience comes with time, but finding someone who fits, cares and wants to be part of what you’re building is pretty hard to beat.

Growth can look a little different behind the scenes.

For us lately, it’s looked like stepping outside our comfort zone, investing back into LMG Ceilings and getting clearer on where we want to take our business.

We’ve spent years building LMG Ceilings through hard work, word of mouth and simply doing a the best job possible. Now, we’re putting just as much thought into how we grow, who we want to work with and the kind of business we want to build for the future.

There’s a lot happening behind the scenes at the moment- new ideas, new direction and plenty of learning along the way and also our third baby in a few weeks. It’s ALL happening 🫣🤩

Have an unused shed that could be so much more? 👀

This space has had a serious upgrade.

By lining and plastering the existing shed, we’ve transformed what was once a basic utility space into a clean, finished interior, opening up so many possibilities for how the owners can use and enjoy the space.

A properly finished shed can make a huge difference when creating a home office, gym, studio, workshop or simply a more comfortable and functional area.

Thinking about transforming your shed or garage?
There are a few things to consider before getting started. If you intend to use the space as a habitable room or dwelling, building and/or planning approvals may be required depending on the existing building and its intended use.

LMG Ceilings can help with the plastering side of your transformation and work alongside your builder or other trades to bring the space together.

Most people couldn’t tell the difference between a great plasterer and an average one…until something goes wrong.

The difference isn’t just how smooth the finish looks. It’s the preparation and consistency. It’s knowing exactly how much pressure to apply with every pass of the trowel. It’s recognising the small details that most people will never notice.

Experience doesn’t just improve quality. It improves efficiency too. After 18+ years on the trowel, our boys knows how to work efficiently without compromising the finish.

That’s the standard we bring to every project. by @lmgceilings

A ceiling replacement is about so much more than installing new plasterboard.

This Melton project started after the ceilings in one of our client’s rental properties began collapsing due to poor workmanship. While replacing a ceiling can seem like a big investment, there’s often far more involved than people realise.

Before the new ceilings could even be installed, the old cellulose insulation had to be professionally vacuumed out. From there, the existing ceilings were removed and disposed of, the framework was laser-levelled, new insulation was installed, followed by new plasterboard, stopping, sanding, new cornice and finally a deep clean of the home.

In just four days, this three-bedroom home was completely transformed and ready for the next stage.

At LMG Ceilings, we believe homeowners should understand why a job is completed a certain way; not just what the finished result looks like.

Would you have known there was this much work involved in replacing a ceiling?

There are hundreds of decisions to make when you’re building a home.

Some are exciting.

Others are easy to overlook.

The plastering stage is one of those moments where a little planning can make a big difference.

Before your walls and ceilings are closed in, take the time to walk through your home one last time. Check your electrical layout, confirm your ceiling finish, think about future TV locations, take plenty of photos, and don’t be afraid to ask questions.

Building a home shouldn’t feel overwhelming.

If we can help people understand the process and make more informed decisions along the way, then we’ve done more than just our job.
