Wassup everyone & welcome to our new page! 😂

Gutted we lost our old page due to some tricky hackers, but we can only control what we can. So here we are - new page, but the same sister duo delivering the clean & quality braids you all recognise & love.

This new page gives us an opportunity to be more transparent with what we experience as braiders in Auckland, to be more creative with our content, and to be more active online.

We appreciate everyone who has kept us busy despite not being online the past month and who continue to support us.

But anyway, just so you know - the baddest braiding duo is still around 🙂‍↕️😂

Mātātoa 2026 🤩

Grateful again to @lskd.aotearoa for having us as part of their pop-up station yesterday at this year’s @mata.toa competition held at Claudelands Event Centre this weekend! 🔥

With an event like this, time isn’t always on our side so we try to give ourselves a 10-15 minute window for each person, while still ensuring they all walk away with seki, clean braids.

Thank you to the athletes, spectators, stall workers, paramedics and the kids for coming through and keeping us BUSYYYYYY!!! 😮‍💨😂 literally ALL GAS with NO BREAKS 😂 we didn’t get everyone on video but so grateful to each & everyone of you! 🙏🏽

Apologies to those we had to turn away due to time 🙏🏽 but you’ll find us again during Labour weekend down at the NZ Team Nats - both days this time 🥳🙂‍↕️

We needed to stick to classic straights and added extensions because he was asking for a miracle with how short his hair was 😂
Good news now though, we don’t use extensions anymore 😂🥳

NZ Fashion Week continued 🤭

Naledi was able to keep her braids in for the Friday morning runway show for @zambesisince79 🤩

No heat to straighten hair. No mousse & heat finish. Just our usual wax product, a bit of sheen oil spray for moisture and shine, and some pretty decent skills lol. Still looked fresh the next day 🙂‍↕️

Throwback to a few weeks ago when we had the opportunity to braid a model for the @beachbrains runway show at New Zealand Fashion Week 2026! 🤩

We’ve braided Naledi for quite a few of her modelling gigs within the past couple of years, so to work with her again, especially in this space, was definitely special for us!

Big thank you to @ngahuiawilliams for reaching out and looking after us leading up to the show & on the night! 🙏🏽

We met some amazing people that night and we’re truly grateful for that experience and being able to network with some talented artists in the fashion industry!

Our first runway experience and definitely won’t be the last!
