Call to Action X Masisi X Soirée MIA Pool Party!

So thankful to have been a part of capturing this insane event! Witnessing & capturing queer joy will forever be one of my favorite things to do.

Growing up in South Florida, I never thought I would find a community like this, and I brought that idea to my time visiting Miami this past year. That was until someone brought me to an event, and I was shocked and excited to be introduced to this amazing, multifaceted underground queer scene in Miami. So so happy for my time there and all the amazing people I’ve met during.

Shoutout to @theblackjacobin_ for introducing me to this amazing part of Miami, @calltoaction.mia @masisiradio & @soireemia for bringing everyone together and creating a space for us to be ourselves, & to all the amazing guests for always bringing the love and energy to the dancefloor, which is so tangible even through photos 💖 taken in Arlo Wynwood by @lnolstudios

Lil throwback to the @liquid.palms villa party back in July!
First time working with them, and it was so great to see so many smiling faces, some new & some familiar.

HAPPY PRIDE MONTH 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

This was Call to Action, a regularly occurring mutual aid event for the local trans community in Miami. And let me tell you, this was no regular event. They turned tf up, danced until they couldn’t dance anymore, AND met the goal. The energy here was absolutely unmatched. Queer love and joy all around, and everyone was so fun, kind, and caring.

It was really so much fun and such an honor to be welcomed into this space and trusted to capture the joy and honestly impeccable vibes of the event.

Thank you to @calltoaction.mia for having me, @its_mr.bitch for curating such an incredible safe space, @dear_eleanor305 for opening your doors to the community, to the amazing djs @hii.rickyy , @soundsbyspell , @ladynarcissse & @its_mr.bitch for putting together a night of incredible music that brought everyone together, the amazing performers @ladyparaiso , @opalamrah , @sin.silva & @kingfemme that brought smiles to our faces & tears to our eyes, and finally to the guests & Miami queer community for bringing the joy to the space. It’s what we deserve!
I hope to be back soon 💗

Kazanova Club’s first edition. I was fortunate enough to not only plan and photograph the promo for this event, but to see the project through and capture the big day. What a great start they had! Full house, smiling faces, and people who couldn’t stop dancing! Can’t wait for the next one.
Big thanks to @cabanalibre & @kazanova__club for putting this together and for trusting me with capturing the event.

Interested in having me capture your next event? Don’t hesitate to send me a message!

Some shots from last month with the masterminds behind Barcelona’s newest club night, Kazanova.

When they mentioned wanting a retro-futuristic vibe to fit the vision for their events, I knew exactly the location to use. Ages ago, I had passed through this metro station, and instantly knew I wanted to feature it one day. Levels and levels of escalators crisscrossing to create this surreal and utopian vibe couldn’t have been better.

I wish we had some behind the scenes footage of us trying to get the images of each of them on separate escalators passing one another. Between their timing from two separate levels while going in two different directions, my timing in the middle going down, trying to get the shot between metros emptying out as it’s actually a SUPER busy station, and also trying not to accidentally roll down the escalator while focusing on the shot, it was wild!
Needless to say it took a few rounds to get it right, and people thought we were insane the whole time. But it’s those crazy moments that pay off.

Thank you for your trust @jo.kazan @alphanova_music & @kazanova__club 💚 taken in The Future by @lnolstudios

I know that I’m supposed to want to share these photos in color given the incredible lights and deco we had - but oof is there something about DJs doing their thing in black and white 😮‍💨 just makes it seem like they’re in their own world, and I love that!

Upgrading to a mirrorless camera was a tough decision (and not a cheap one 😅) but I’m SO happy I did it. It’s created so many possibilities and I’m continuously blown away by its capabilities.

Looking forward to the rest of the event season and capturing my Cabana Libre family on stage & on the dance floor 💕

A bit late on sharing these, but lately I’m missing those Barcelona summer vibes, where the days are long and hot & the music is hotter. Can’t wait till this cold weather is gone and we’re back to dancing in the sun 🌞

Still thinking about this photo session where we captured such a pure essence of love. Even though it’s been some time since our shoot, these moments deserve to be shared and seen!
