Pokémon Worlds XP Day 2: Jigglypuff Day. 💗✨

Obviously, for my main day at Worlds, my girl was coming with me. Jigglypuff fit on, Jigglypuff nails ready, and back into the chaos we went. 😌

We got there early enough to tackle some of the Pin Rally before the lines went completely wild, then spent a good chunk of the beautiful sunny morning exploring Yerba Buena Gardens. ☀️ From there, it was competitions, the 30th Celebration exhibit, Funko Pop Yourself, Croc charms, a Pokémon GO talk, exhibits, and basically every experience we could squeeze in without having to worry about a Pokémon Center reservation this time around.

I also got to meet some creators I’ve loved following, including @eeveelution_cosplay and The Boss @pokeceez, plus run into some of my local Pokémon people like @p0kemel, @juliettepulls, @kennykollects_pkmn, and @lavender_collects. 🥹 This community really was one of my favorite parts of the entire weekend.

And of course, there was LOTS of Pokémon GO. Raids were particularly satisfying thanks to my angry Jigglypuff nail aggressively SMASH SMASH SMASHING that attack button. 😂💅

Putting my event planner hat on for a second, one of the things I found most fascinating about XP was how Pokémon created an experience that extended beyond the physical event itself. Yes, the lines were LONG, but even while waiting for one activation, we were catching Pokémon, raiding, battling, trading, and interacting with everything happening in Pokémon GO and the digital Pokémon universe around us. ✨🎮

It almost created this fourth dimension to the event experience where the waiting itself could still be part of the activation. You were never really just standing in line. You were still playing, connecting, and engaging with Pokémon. As someone who spends a lot of time thinking about guest experience and how to keep people entertained, I thought that was pretty damn ingenious. 👏

Day 2 was sunny, chaotic, wonderfully nerdy, and VERY Jigglypuff.

10/10 vibes. 10/10 immersion. Justice for Jigglypuff IR. 💗🌎✨ taken in San Francisco, California by @lo_pokes

On Wednesdays we wear pink 💗😌✨

Some people accessorize with jewelry.
I accessorize with Jigglypuff.

Honestly, I think she’d want it that way 💅🎀

Just out here fully committed to the aesthetic, the color palette, and the lifestyle.

Anyone else accidentally build their wardrobe around their favorite Pokémon, or is that just me? 👀✨ by @lo_pokes

10 years of Pokémon GO… and somehow it’s still bringing people together. ⚡️💛

This weekend we celebrated GO Fest at Pier 39 for Mega Mewtwo Y, and it had everything I love about this game: thousands of Trainers, new friends made on the sidewalk, nonstop raids, and a Pokémon storage that’s now begging for mercy. 😌✨

It’s wild to think that 10 years ago we were just a handful of friends running around trying to take over gyms as Team Instinct. I never would’ve guessed we’d still be here a decade later, celebrating with a community this big.

In true Lo fashion, we paused for a cold brew… but not even a beer break could stop the raids. 🍻⚡️

And, of course, seeing Jigglypuff front and center at GO Fest? Exactly the recognition she’s been waiting for. Justice tastes even sweeter after 10 years. 💗

Here’s to the game that still gets us outside, meeting new people, and making memories one raid at a time.

Cards, ponies, cold brews, and good company? My kind of party. 😌🦄🍻

Spent Saturday at the @nuclearpharmhouse Card & Collectibles Expo with my husband, brother, and niece, and what a lovely day out!

As someone who is currently completely consumed by @mylittlepony, I was especially excited to see such a great mix of TCGs, collectibles, and PLENTY of ponies for me to play with. 😂💗

And getting to share all of it with my niece? Easily one of my favorite parts of the day. We already have a mutual appreciation for Jigglypuff and all things pony, and watching her get excited about the same things I love is just the BEST. Finally, someone in the family who truly understands my priorities. 😂💕

The vendor floor had such a fun variety of collectibles, along with some incredibly talented artists showcasing their work! From unique handmade creations to comic book artists and original artwork, there was so much creativity to discover beyond the cards.

I especially loved the Learn to Play station and all the dedicated space for games and trading. The whole event had this wonderful community-gathering energy, with plenty of opportunities to sit down, connect, learn something new, and enjoy the hobby together. Exactly the kind of experience I love seeing at card shows!

Bonus points for the bar, because sipping a cold brew while browsing cardboard is exactly the kind of multitasking I support. 🍻✨

Huge shoutout to Jess, Brendan, and the whole Nuclear Pharmhouse family for putting so much heart into their first Expo! You can tell how much love and intention went into creating a welcoming space for collectors of all ages and interests.

I can’t wait to watch this show grow. You’ve got something special here! 💗

More ponies, more play, more community. That’s the energy. 🦄✨

Sorry, I can’t talk right now. I’m thinking about My Little Pony cards. 🦄✨

What started as a cute little side quest has become a full-blown collecting problem and frankly, I don’t see us turning back. 😌

The art. The nostalgia. The sparkles. The fact that I suddenly need ponies in slabs???

Pokémon will always have my heart, but apparently there was room in there for a LOT more friendship and questionable cardboard purchases. 😂💗

Please tell me I’m not alone in the Pokémon → My Little Pony pipeline.

Which pony has you in a chokehold? 👀🦄

Pokémon GO players, our weekend plans have officially been decided. 👀⚡️

The Pokémon World Championships closing ceremony dropped some BIG updates for GO, and between what’s coming to PvP and what’s happening during Mega Finale, there’s a lot to get excited about.

⚡️ Megas are coming to GO Battle League! Mega-Evolved Pokémon will be able to compete in special Mega editions of Great and Ultra League, with their CP temporarily adjusted for battle.

⚡️ Eligible Mega Pokémon can now unlock an additional Charged Attack while Mega Evolved, giving us even more options for battle strategy, including in GO Battle League.

⚡️ And the one that had everyone talking: ARMORED MEWTWO IS BACK. After being unavailable since 2020, it returns to five-star raids September 5–6 for Mega Finale Weekend. 🙌

Meanwhile, I’ve already been fully committed to the assignment. 😂 Mega Ascension Week has meant running around with the crew, raiding, catching, and soaking up as many Megas as possible before we head into the finale.

And we’re definitely not slowing down yet. Mega Finale is THIS WEEKEND, with Armored Mewtwo, Mega Mewtwo X on Saturday, Mega Mewtwo Y on Sunday, and plenty more Mega raids to keep us busy. 😮‍💨

I’ve been playing Pokémon GO on and off since 2016, and one of my favorite things about this game continues to be how it gets us out into the world and brings people together. This week with my East Bay crew has been such a good reminder of that. 💗

So tell me: have you been catching Megas this week? And who’s going out hunting for Armored Mewtwo this weekend?! 👀⚡️ taken in San Francisco, California by @lo_pokes

Pokémon Worlds XP Day 3: slowing down and soaking it all in. 🥹✨

By Sunday, we had accomplished SO much that for the first time all weekend… there was no mission. 😂 No Pin Rally to race through, no Pokémon Center reservation, no activation we absolutely had to get to. We could finally wander, revisit the passive exhibits we’d missed, spend more time with friends, and actually stop to connect with some of the people we’d met along the way.

So I threw on my Misty gear and we did exactly that. 💙

Unfortunately, one of the harder things to see was how many kids came for their only day at XP on Sunday excited about the Pin Rally, only to find out it was over. Hearing parents tell me that grown adults were then offering to sell those kids pins for upwards of $200… yeah, that didn’t sit right with me.

So my Sunday mission found me instead. 😌

I started giving away my Pin Rally pins.

And honestly? Watching a kid absolutely LIGHT UP because you handed them the one Pokémon pin they really wanted was more rewarding than anything I stood in line for all weekend. 🥹💗

One pin at a time, we fight the scalpers. 🫡

The rest of the day was exactly what I needed: finding my fellow Mistys in the wild, making some really lovely personal connections, hanging with the @nuclearpharmhouse fam, and finally getting to meet some of my online homies like @sliccgaming and @pundellopulls outside of the DMs. 💙 Thank you guys for bringing even more bright, bubbly energy to an already incredible weekend.

Then we took one last look around XP, soaked up as much of the magic as we could, and said goodbye to Moscone before heading over to Chase Center for the Arena Experience. 🥹

Day 3 was less about checking things off a list and more about the thing I ended up loving most about Worlds anyway:

the people. 💗

What a way to close out our XP experience.

Pokémon really said “you thought your chase list was done?” 😮‍💨💸

The latest Pokémon TCG announcements from Worlds gave us a peek at what’s coming next, and there is A LOT to be excited about.

First: MORE MEGA ATTACK RARES. 🙌 Mega Rayquaza ex, Mega Darkrai ex, Mega Greninja ex AND Mega Zygarde ex are getting the treatment. We’re also getting Mega Lucario Z ex, bringing Z Mega Evolutions into the TCG.

I have loved the Mega Attack Rare style since they introduced it—the oversized Japanese attack lettering, the artwork, the DRAMA—and I was really hoping this wasn’t going to be a short-lived rarity. So seeing an entire new group announced? Yes please. 👏

And then Pokémon casually dropped something completely new: ex★. ⭐️

We don’t know all the details yet, but the newly announced ex★ Series is bringing Raikou, Entei and Suicune with it, and Pokémon says more information is still to come.

Between new Megas, more Mega Attack Rares and an entirely new ex★ series…

My binder would like Pokémon to calm down.

I, however, would like them to continue. 😌✨

Which announcement has you the most excited? 👀 taken in San Francisco, California by @lo_pokes

Can we give it up for the REAL stars of Pokémon Worlds XP?! 👏🥹✨

THE CHARACTERS.

Because HOW are you giving this much personality, emotion, sass, and pure Pokémon energy from inside a giant inflatable suit?! 😂

Every single character interaction we saw felt completely committed. They danced. They posed. They played with the crowd. They reacted to each other. They somehow communicated entire personalities without saying a single word. And watching kids AND adults absolutely light up when their favorite Pokémon appeared was one of my favorite parts of the whole event. 🥹

It would be easy for these appearances to just be cute photo ops, but the performers made them feel like actual little moments of magic throughout Worlds.

So major flowers to the character performers bringing our favorite Pokémon to life all weekend. 🌸👏 You understood the assignment and then some.

10/10 commitment. 10/10 cardio. 100/10 Pokémon energy. 😂💗

Now tell me: which Pokémon would have YOU losing your mind if they walked out? 👀 taken in San Francisco, California by @lo_pokes

And just like that… Pokémon Worlds is heading to SINGAPORE in 2027! 🇸🇬✨

Hearing the announcement surrounded by thousands of Pokémon fans at the closing ceremony was such a cool way to end an already unforgettable weekend. The roar of the crowd says it all. 🥹⚡️

Getting to experience our first Worlds right here in San Francisco was more fun, chaotic, wholesome, and wonderfully nerdy than I could have imagined. We collected, traded, explored, made new friends, saw old ones, and fully immersed ourselves in the magic of this community.

So… Singapore? 👀

If the cards are right, maybe we’ll see you there. 😌🃏✈️

And if not, I’m already SO excited for everyone who gets to experience the absolute wonder that is Pokémon Worlds next year. There really is nothing quite like seeing this many people come together over something they love.

Singapore, you’re in for a good one. 💗 taken in San Francisco, California by @lo_pokes
