Some trips are meticulously planned months in advance, while others begin with a simple suggestion to just head out somewhere.

This was one of those instances.

Life has been quite hectic recently, filled with work, responsibilities, financial considerations, and the constant pressure of building something of our own. We have spent a great deal of time discussing our goals, how to make things work, and how to turn our various ideas into reality.

Some days are exciting, while others are stressful or cause us to question everything. Through it all, we are striving to build something together, and that journey has become a significant part of our lives.

Somewhere along the way, we realized that we were so occupied with thinking about the future that we forgot to appreciate the present.

We decided to take a break.

Four friends, one Car, random conversations, music, food, laughter, unplanned stops, and a road to Munnar.

There were no meetings, no calculations, and no business discussions. We simply stepped away from our routine to enjoy each other's company.

Standing there with the clouds below us and the mountains ahead, everything felt a little lighter. Our problems had not disappeared, and our work and plans remained, but sometimes it is necessary to have a moment where you do not have to solve anything.

Honestly, I believe these are the moments we will remember most.

We will not remember the stressful days, the sleepless nights, or every minor issue encountered while building our venture.

Instead, we will remember the spontaneous trips, the jokes that made little sense, the lengthy conversations, the unplanned roads, the photos we nearly forgot to take, and the four people who were present while we were all navigating life together.

Naveen was behind the camera for most of these, so he was present for everything, even if he is missing from half of the evidence.

We are still figuring life out, learning, making mistakes, and striving to build something of which we can be proud.

Adulting looked so cool from the outside. Freedom, independence, doing whatever you want no rules, no bedtime, no one telling you what to do. As kids, we used to rush through life, dreaming about growing up faster, thinking adulthood was where everything finally made sense. But somewhere along the way, we realize… it’s not as simple as it looked.

Being an adult is waking up with responsibilities that don’t pause, carrying worries you can’t always explain, and learning how to smile even when things feel heavy. It’s making decisions without knowing if they’re right, and still moving forward anyway. It’s missing people, missing moments, and sometimes even missing the version of yourself that didn’t overthink everything.

And then you think back to being a child when happiness was so easy. When a small treat, a silly game, or a random evening outside could make your entire day. No pressure to “figure life out,” no fear of falling behind, no constant race. Just pure, unfiltered living.

The truth is, we didn’t know how good we had it back then. And maybe that’s life you only understand the beauty of a moment after it becomes a memory.

But maybe adulting isn’t about losing that child within us. Maybe it’s about protecting it. Holding onto that innocence, that excitement, that ability to find joy in the smallest things… even when life gets complicated.
