My younger self would have never thought I would ever stop drinking because I never thought I had a problem. I can control my alcohol I’m the DDD ,designated drugged driver. Got into a whole bunch of close calls with the cops, field sobriety test when they should’ve made me blow . They’re was times they got a call and just poured out my beer and let me go I’ve been put on the marchman act at the hospital by police. I side swiped a Tesla and ran because I was drunk just to get billed later 6k . I went through all of this and no Dui. At this point I’ve tried AA MEETINGS get sober 3 months get a chip and go on a crazy bender. AA WASN’T FOR ME it might be for you but in my experience there’s 3 key points to succeeding in your journey to sobriety 1. acknowledge you have a problem. 2. Breathe and take it day by day 3.Try new things 4. Get lots of sun 5. Talk to someone Friend ,Mentor ,therapist or even record yourself so you can hear your problems out loud . I have to thank all my friends that have helped me along the way and didn’t make it weird because I was trying to sober up and get my life together. They let me bitch cry be a dickhead disappear go silent and I they did was tell me to keep on and that there proud of me. To all my friends from the east coast to the west coast and everywhere in between thank you for you support and checking up on me I owe you more than you’ll ever know #sobriety #soberversary u by @loadoffilm

Rodney Mullen definitely said it best. I can’t explain the feeling that skateboarding has given to me over the years the only thing I know is I’m trying everything I can to get to the one thing that keeps me sane it’s been a darker couple months lately just on the fact that skating feels completely out of reach even with Physical therapy and the amount of time that has went by thinking I’d be back 100% already. I’ve tried everything to keep my self entertained with old hobbies hell even new hobbies but after awhile I just go back in the same loop in my head about skating and some might say to just give it up we’re old you can’t skate forever and to those people with that mindset you won’t ever get anywhere in life with that mentality. Whatever you do give it 100% or don’t do it all. by @loadoffilm

This has been the longest I’ve been without being able to learn new tricks or even push myself on a board without feeling constant pain in my feet from fracturing my foot to rolling the same ankle after getting back on my board . But the real problem has been my left foot I thought it would’ve been fine once I fractured my other foot but honestly I think my past injuries might have caught up to it from fracturing my heel and breaking metatarsal 1 and 2 in a motorcycle accident all that to say I’m looking forward to the new year once my insurance kicks in to try and make some progress on these injuries because if I wasn’t distracting myself with my lil mini truck I’ve been messing with I couldn’t really tell you where I would be on this situation since all I wanna do day in day out is skate for hours on then making videos with friends 🎥 @aaronglorioso by @loadoffilm
