It’s been so painful not having you around the last couple of weeks. Just writing this hurts as it reminds me that’s it’s actually real. Whenever anyone says “I’m sorry about your uncle” I just want to tell them how much more you were than that. You were my mentor, my godfather, my guide, my shield and most importantly these last over these last 6 years you grew to be my friend. We were able to confide in each other no matter what the situation was and that’s something I may never be able to replace.

You took a 23 year old kid and molded me into the man I am today and for that I am eternally grateful. You taught me countless lessons about life, business and people. I still remember you picking me up before the start of every school year to make sure I always had some new clothes or shoes to wear. You encouraged me to travel, explore and learn about myself. You treated me the same way you treated your own son and raised us as brothers every opportunity you got. Even though we argued like crazy we both knew it’s because we were so god damn similar. I’ll never be able to pay you back or say thank you enough for everything you did for me.

I wish I could tell you about the profound impact you had on so many peoples lives. I’ve gotten so many calls, texts and emails not only sending their condolences but telling me their story and interactions they had with you. About how you helped them buy a home and now their life has a level of financial freedom never expected, or how you took the time to teach them the same way you did for me. You impacted so many peoples lives for the better.

It scary thinking about you not being here anymore and what I might do in a situation where I need you but like you told me the last time we talked, This is what you prepared me for. I’m happy that although you were taken so young that we had the opportunity to have these last couple of months. I don’t think we left anything unsaid and those conversations are probably the ones I will treasure the most. I promise to execute on everything we talked about take care of the ones you loved snd never lose sight of what’s really important in this life.
