Weekend Market!
My favorite thing about this party was seeing all of the fun things each person created. Some were old family recipes, some were new hobbies, some are for every day use, some spicy, and some sweet.

If you are even remotely thinking about throwing a market party, DO IT!!! (And invite me hehe) by @localbylisa

Weekend Market!
Handmade goodies, happy hearts, and the best people to spend time with on a Saturday morning.

Just a little reminder that magic happens when friends create together. ✨

The rules:

Whether you are Betty Baker, Cathy Crafter, or Simple Suzy, you are invited to bring something homemade to share at our Weekend Market! All homemade items count as “the right thing to bring!”

Bring enough for each person to get one of your homemade items- final count will be sent at least a week in advance.

Don’t tell my laundry pile that making jam took priority today 🤫

Recipe for Berry Citrus jam 🍓🫐🍊
- 2/3 cup of sugar or honey
-zest of one large orange (or lemon or grapefruit)
-6 cups of berries (I did 5 cups raspberries plus 1 cup of strawberries)
-juice of 2 oranges (or lemon or grapefruit)
-pinch of salt

In a large skillet, mixed together all of the sugar and all of the zest until combined and fragrant.
Turn burner on to high and add in the juice, fruit, and salt.
Stirred until combined and bring to a boil.
Lower heat to medium and simmer for about 15 minutes. Stir frequently.
To know when it is done, you should be able to run a spoon through the middle and not have the jam come running back together immediately.
Turn off burner and let cool.
Package up in tiny little jars like these to share with friends! Keeps in the fridge for about 2 weeks. taken in Matthews, North Carolina by @localbylisa
