Pretty pictures from the day I was bullied into hosting Christina & Alex’s engagement ceremony!

What started as “okay fine, I’ll host” somehow turned into one of those core memory days; featuring extremely non-synced dance performances, aggressive leg-pulling, questionable coordination, and enough chaos to keep us entertained xD

Wouldn’t have it any other way; congratulations cuties! Can’t wait for the wedding madness♥️🧿

P.S: @liteena Chechi, if only you and @lil_bryan_theexplorer143 were there for the function, I would’ve at least had my team 😭😂 by @localchokra

Across all these pictures, there’s one thing you’ll see in common: a human, along with other humans, being genuinely happy for two fellow humans who have willingly chosen to enter the institution of matrimony!

Sneha and Harsh are absolute goofballs who somehow make love look so simple, effortless and easy. And yes, I will keep yelling this from every possible rooftop: I’m so glad you two started dating on my 23rd birthday, back when we were all in university in London.🥹

I’ll save the rest of my yapping for when I post about your kalyanam, because clearly, I have a lot to say!🧿 by @localchokra

Somewhere between minimalism and maximalism is where my love for art lives.

@thecollectorscove.in, presented by @giftexauction and @hsbc_in , brought together extraordinary collections from crystals and silverware to carpets, intricate furniture, lighting, and timeless art. I kept drifting from one floor to another, discovering something new every few minutes.

The standout moment was seeing original works by M.F. Husain. Diwanshu and I ended up spending as much time decoding the stories behind contemporary and religious artworks as we did admiring them.

Safe to say, Ballard Pier was the perfect backdrop for an afternoon well spent. Art has a funny way of making you lose track of time and I wasn’t complaining!

18-year-old Vishu would’ve never imagined that the same guy who was once the HOD of college events (tiny flex, let me have this one 😌) would one day return to his alma mater; not to organise a show, but to judge one?!

Got invited to judge, Mr. & Ms. Talented at S.M. Shetty College, Mumbai, and honestly, it felt like a proper full-circle moment.

The irony wasn’t lost on me when I got the one role I’ve been training for since college… judging😭😂.
(Just kidding… maybe.)

But jokes apart, every participant was incredibly talented, making it a tough call to choose the winners. Having Vartika and Arden as fellow judges definitely made the process easier.

Congratulations to Aanchal and Mayur for winning the titles, and thank you S.M. Shetty College for having me over.

Truly an honour✨🙏🏽🧿.

For those asking why the government is being held responsible; who else should be held accountable? In a democracy, the government is elected by the people, to serve the people. Holding it accountable is not disrespect; it is a fundamental part of democracy. Citizens don’t elect a government simply to applaud every decision they also have the right to question, criticise, and demand better governance when necessary.

This isn’t about the current political party. Governments before 2014 were criticised too, just as every government in a democracy should be when issues arise. All that citizens ask is that concerns are taken seriously, investigated properly, and resolved to the best of the government’s ability.

Most importantly, no religion, caste, race, or community should be dragged into this. The issue at hand began because of education, and that’s where the focus should remain.

Why do I care so deeply? Because education is one of the strongest foundations of nation-building. I may not have been the smartest student in class, but I firmly believe that every child deserves access to quality education and a safe learning environment.

Some people say, “Even educated people commit crimes, so what’s the point of education?” That’s a flawed argument. The fact that some educated individuals commit crimes does not make education any less important. By the same logic, would anyone argue that because some people who regularly visit places of worship commit crimes, faith or religion has no value? Of course not.

One does not invalidate the importance of the other. Education remains essential, not because it guarantees perfection, but because it gives individuals and societies the best chance to progress.

Finally, I have just one request to everyone reading this: **support the cause, not an individual or a political party.** The moment we turn this into a battle over one person’s past, we’ll find endless files to open; not just from the current government or previous governments, but from each of our own lives as well. Accountability should never become selective or partisan. Keep the focus on the issue, the victims, and the solution.

I guess the only way I’m ever going to stay fit is through treks. 😭

Not because I enjoyed the dozen tiny aches my body collected by the end of this one... but because every trek lets me discover a new corner of the world while rediscovering parts of myself.

Was it worth it? Every single time.

From hanging out with the same crazy bunch to meeting strangers who somehow become friends in just a few hours... from switching off city life to soaking in nature, eating simple home-cooked food, laughing till our stomachs hurt, and realizing how beautiful life can be with so little; it’s an experience I’d choose over and over again.

Here’s to another unforgettable trek with my personal favourite, @rovebackpackers , this time to... [comment below and I’ll DM you the locations] And hopefully, many, many more.

And the next time you text me saying, ”The trek looked so beautiful,” don’t just admire it through my stories...

Come trek with us instead!🧗‍♂️🧿

It was on 9th February 1986 that His Holiness Pope Saint John Paul II arrived in Bombay (now Mumbai) during his historic visit to India.

And do you see the handsome gentleman bowing down and kissing His Holiness’ hand? (Image 2)

That’s Mr. Don Bosco Fernando; my Taatha. He served as the Airport Manager for Indian Airlines at Mumbai Airport.

To me, he was elegance personified.

A perfectly ironed shirt. Crisp trousers. Polished shoes. That signature moustache. And a gaze that commanded respect without ever asking for it.

He was one of the very first people I ever looked up to and thought, “I want to grow up to be like him.”

Impeccable style. Conversations as smooth as butter. A friend to everyone. An exceptional leader. But above all, the most loving grandfather a child could ask for.

He is the reason I know what it feels like to be truly spoiled.

Every certificate I brought home from school was a reason for celebration. By evening, he’d take the entire family out for dinner and somehow I’d end the day with chocolates in my pocket.

Even in his final years, I remember walking into his living room and finding an elaborate showcase lined with the finest bottles of liquor. Yet, hidden among them, he’d always have a couple of packets of Gems; reserved for me.

My parents often tell me that I carry many of his traits. Every time they say that, I can’t help but smile with pride.

Today would’ve been his 90th birthday!

I’m sure he is celebrating it in style up there, just as you celebrated every little milestone of ours down here.

Thank you for giving me the privilege of calling you my grandfather♥️🧿
