this island was everything i hoped for and more 🩵🌊📍zanzibar, tanzaniaif i was planning my first trip to zanzibar again, this is exactly how i’d split 8 days: 🎨 stone town (1 day)completely different to the rest of the island but 100% worth visiting. wander the little streets, soak up the culture and history and enjoy some incredible food before heading to the beaches🌴 jambiani (4 days)my favourite part of zanzibar 🤍 it felt so peaceful and relaxed, and was the perfect place to properly switch off. it’s also a great base for exploring the south of the island 🌅 nungwi (3 days)the most touristy part of the island but for good reason. think turquoise water, white-sand beaches, beach bars and some of the most beautiful sunsets you’ll ever seesave this for when you’re planning your zanzibar trip 🐚#zanzibartravel #zanzibarisland #zanzibarholiday #zanzibartanzania by @locationswithlois

zanzibar is much bigger than people think, and each coast offers a completely different experience. here’s how to choose the right one 🤍we spent 1 night in stone town, 4 nights in jambiani and 3 nights in nungwi which id recommend to most people as it felt like the perfect mix of culture, relaxation and beach time! before you book a boat trip in zanzibar, read this 🐬💧🩵🐚most people head to mnemba island, but we chose pungume sandbank in the south instead and i’m so glad we did! it’s a more off-the-beaten-path spot with fewer boats, incredible snorkelling and some of the clearest water we saw in zanzibaralso make sure you research the boat company and choose an ethical one. avoid tours that pick up starfish for photos, promise dolphin sightings or encourage interactions with marine life we booked with @my_zanzibar_ and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. if you’re planning a trip to zanzibar, i’d definitely recommend adding pungume to your itinerary 🩵#zanzibarisland #zanzibarboattrip #zanzibartour #discoverzanzibar #visitzanzibar by @locationswithlois

the safari didn’t stop when the game drives ended 🦛 and this is why the location of your camp in the masai mara matters! it’s easy to compare camps based on the rooms, but where you stay can completely change your safari ours was right on the river inside the reserve, which meant:🦁 the safari started almost as soon as we left camp, meaning less time driving and more time with wildlife🦛 every lunchtime came with a front-row seat to dozens of hippos. we’d sit there for ages just watching them, and honestly it became one of the highlights of the trip. such a unique place to have lunch🌅 first to many morning sightings, when the animals were most active🌙 falling asleep to the sounds of hippos, hyenas and other wildlifeit’s such an easy detail to overlook when booking, but it made a huge difference to our experience! save this for your masai mara trip 🤎#safari #safaricamp #masaimara #africasafari by @locationswithlois

masai mara really is one of the best places in africa to see lions 🦁🤎we were SO lucky and genuinely lost count of how many times we spotted them 😂 of course wildlife is never guaranteed but masai mara is home to one of the highest lion densities in africa. so if seeing lions is at the top of your bucket list, your chances are about as good as they get!send this to the person you want to go on a safari with 🦁#safari #lionsafari #masaimara #kenyasafari by @locationswithlois
