Happy to be back in 35°C and conducting at the opera company where I used to sing in the children's chorus!

Also my debut with the @wasymphonyorchestra which inspired me all through high-school and got me addicted to weekends at the Perth Concert Hall!

Loving this production by Sarah Giles 💥

The government plans to deny Opera Zuid the support they need to keep their doors open, against the advice of the Council for Culture! Stop the destruction of culture outside the Randstad, maintain institutions that support young talent and hold the government to its promise.

🔗 Petition Link in Bio 🚨

Opera Zuid is expected to fulfill a growing range of responsibilities with a shrinking budget. The total budget for the opera sector is simply insufficient to meet these expectations.

Due to the unequal distribution of subsidies, regions outside the Randstad are not given equal support. This weakens regional culture rather than strengthening it.

The State Secretary claims to follow the advice of the Council for Culture, yet does the opposite.

This is an urgent appeal to all members of the House of Representatives: ⚠️SUPPORT THE MOHANDIS MOTION ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 19⚠️ or the doors in Maastricht will close after this season, and a carefully built cultural network, developed over decades, will be lost.

❗️THERE IS ALWAYS MONEY TO BE FOUND❗️ —we all know that. The question is what we find IMPORTANT.

No gatekeeping!

This is the best deal I have found to record demos in the Netherlands.

Super cute background (also at night)
@lochlanb at the piano AND fixing the mics/light/video, a couple subtle edits (those who don't need them are LIARS)

And in 1 or 2 hours I have 2-3 arias, endless high quality material for website, auditions, youtube, socials...

what can I say, this is love...

Looking forward to collaborating with the brilliant team at @patricktogherartists.

2027 has a couple of awesome projects lined up for us down under, including bringing an epic opera that's never been produced at one particular house in Australia.

✨️ Cliffhanger... ✨️

A quick deep dive into the music of LA TRAVIATA with Conductor @lochlanb by @lochlanb

"Conductor Lochlan Brown, meanwhile, gives the West Australian Symphony Orchestra the room it needs to weave through the score’s bittersweet pathos. The haunting cello passages were enough to bring tears to the eye. Again and again, the richness and depth of Verdi’s melodic invention stunned the senses." - Limelight Magazine ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My obsession with colours, legato and living, breathing bel canto apparently paid off 🙏 Always go deeper than simply "come scritto" taken in His Majesty's Theatre, Perth by @lochlanb

Why do we say things twice? Where's the conflict? What's the "why"?
