Shoutout to @frogsannin for the footage. Honestly makes me want one of these things. Looking at 3rd person i see what i suspected, was standing too tall all match. Also over confirmation causing me to leave positions late. Dont have stage one or 2 but im just grateful to have these.

Stage 6… fuck that stage. My one bomb of the match, plan was going fine until the swinger took longer than i expected, so i threw in an unplanned reload. Thus changing my plan, which still was going ok until the bobber. Grip/focus went out the window, then it just was pain…

Ill take one bomb on 8 stages, but this was not from being too aggressive, which is the only bomb im ok with.

Didnt wanna post this one hahaha but had to give @deltamikememes some more ammo.

Stage 3. First stage of the match with two very costly mistakes. Late make up on tux had me a step out of position for my next target, then clipping the no shoot before the clam shell, cost not only points but a ton of time. Was very surprised to get away with two mistakes on a stage and not dip below 70%. This run definitely dictated the rest of my match in how aggressive i approached the stages, but i didn’t let it affect my confidence in my ability. Learned a lot about myself in this match, mostly the mental side. How to not be on such a high or low after a stage run, and how to clear the mind before the beep. Really want to keep building on that.

Stage 4. Lots of wasted time, came into the back two positions too tall, sent three charlies at the first target, was too tentative on steel, paused to confirm hits on close target with 3/4 wall (im short so fuck that wall), then over confirm on weak hand. Aside from that, it was solid stage lmao. Honestly was just happy to be building from the 71% first stage, the goal was to be consistent and not push past my limits which ive done too often.

Stage 7. A prime example of how half of my match went, brain farts. Forgot where my drop turner steel was then didnt take the open before turner/after second steel. Prob lost a few seconds on that sequence, is what it is. Really liked the plan i had, lots of shots before reload was a bit aggressive but i was confident in my marksmanship. Solid stage design by @ikestarnes 👏👏

Stage 2. Last stage of the day, and honestly the most confusing stage imo. Was dreading ending my day on it but also wanted to push for a strong finish. Pushed past my target in process and lost valuable time. Foot work was very shotty at this point in the day. Recovered decently for a solid end to the classic. Shoutout to @maxwellmcnutt for the encouragement post run, also for taking the win this weekend! Dudes a beast!

I think where i went wrong was i looked at the amount of points i needed to make 80% or higher overall (benefit or curse of last stage on last day), and tried to make it happen instead of letting it happen. Next time i dont think i will be looking at scores as the day comes to a close.

Stage 9. First shooter. Felt like one of my best runs in terms of aggression. Had not live fired in just about two weeks and didnt feel like i could shoot aggressively until here (3rd to last stage lmao). No excuses, just lessons learned, live practice before match, tone back the movement practice the night before (legs were slightly sore to start match).

Stage 1, aka the “NC” stage, aka @fortitude_consulting stage. My man @gil_fortitude_consulting sponsored this stage so i had to lay it down for him! Coulda been a little faster with my footwork but overall my strongest stage of the match.

Honestly surprised at how well the memorization held up as i completely changed my stage plan right after walk thru (was gonna start left side).

Stage 6 was so good @ikestarnes let me shoot it twice!!! Haha joking of course, but the squad was issued a reshoot and i took advantage by knocking a full second off my run and adding 4% to the stage score! Reshoots were 0/4 for me but i finally got one to go my way.

Changed my engagement sequence following the left two targets. First run i tried to blend the tux while moving forward costing make ups and time. Second run was faster, but a delta and some lack of conviction in plan changes left alot out there. Overall a solid stage for me.

2026 Carolina Classic. First major in the books for me, and what an experience it was. First off shout out to @ikestarnes and all the staff, vendors etc. weather was crazy but they still came out and made it a great experience!!! Huge thanks to all that put hours in to make this thing what it was!

Goal was 85%, and a low bar of 75%. Hit 79% CO 36/162. For my first major i cannot complain about that, but i know that i left too much out there. My main mindset prematch was to not give any points away, and execute my plans. Other than a single noshoot to open the match 😂 i accomplished that goal (180:A 41:C 2:D and of course the 1:NS).

This may be the end of my season, and i couldn’t imagine a better match to end it on! May not have made master this season like i set out to, but i know its only a matter of time.

Here’s some stages from my last two matches at Blackstone and PBR. Was happy with my movement overall in this one and Mondays match as well. But back to the grind of tweaking and refining

Really been focusing on movement this week in my training, and shooting with more urgency while on the move. The Carolina Classic is right around the corner and the final prep work continues
