Phone theft, by the numbers. 📊

5 cities. One number nobody believes. Then the fix.

$40, free worldwide shipping 🌍

👉 Comment « LOCK » and I’ll DM you the link 📩

London: a phone is reported stolen every six minutes. About 250 a day, over 90,000 in a year.

Westminster alone accounts for a quarter of them. 🇬🇧

#phonetheft #london

Paris is the pickpocket capital of the world — 16.5% of every theft complaint travellers write online names this one city.

And across France, 600,000 phones vanish a year. That’s one every 52 seconds. 🇫🇷

#pickpocket #paris

Barcelona: 100,944 pickpocketing incidents in a single year. Theft makes up 48% of all crime recorded in the city.

Las Ramblas and metro lines 1 and 3 do most of the damage. 🇪🇸

#barcelona #traveltips

Over a million smartphones stolen every year in the U.S. — and the regulator says the real number is higher.

In New York they work the subway in packs. One blocks, one grabs, one carries. 🇺🇸

#nyc #phonetheft

Then there’s home. Crime in the Montreal metro nearly doubled in a single year, and both Japan and France updated their travel advisories over pickpocketing here.

This stopped being a European problem. 🇨🇦

#montreal #mtl

Here’s the one nobody believes: 2%.

That’s how many stolen phones ever make it back to their owner. The other 98% are gone in minutes — with your photos, and whatever app your bank lives in.

Phone theft is exploding across Europe — pickpockets and snatch-theft crews are targeting tourists in the metros more than ever. 🌍🔒

A cheap clip won’t stop a real grab, but an anti-theft phone strap will. LOCKÜP makes magnetic phone security accessories for urban environments: a magnetic phone strap that locks your phone to your body, so a snatch just yanks back against the tether. Patented magnetic system, 100 lb pull force — phone security that actually holds. 🇨🇦

Paris pickpockets have one favorite move: the metro door snatch. 📱🇫🇷

They wait for the beep. Doors close, you can’t follow, your phone is gone forever.
Unless it’s physically attached to you. LOCKÜP is the magnetic bracelet tether that holds 100 lbs — nobody snatches it without you noticing. Quarter-turn to release when YOU want. Designed in Canada 🇨🇦, seen on Dragons’ Den.

$40. Free worldwide shipping. 🌍

💔 You are walking down a packed city street, completely in the zone, when a hand flashes out of nowhere and rips your phone straight out of your grip. Welcome to the ultimate modern horror story where your photos, banking apps, and flight tickets vanish in two seconds flat. We love the pure optimism of relying on a standard phone case or a basic dangling leash here, but unless your gear actually locks to your body, you are just gift wrapping your tech for a thief. Stop playing Russian roulette with your digital life and let us look at who survives the crowd.
👉 Swipe to see the showdown between the case, the leash, and reality.
#FestivalVibes #StreetSmart #FunnyButTrue #TravelProblems #Lockup

🤡 Shoutout to everyone relying on a ten dollar piece of plastic to fight off professional street thieves. We honestly admire the bravery, but let us be totally real for a second. Your phone case is doing a spectacular job protecting your screen from a clumsy drop on your living room rug, but it is one hundred percent useless when someone snatches it and runs. It is like having a state of the art home security system but leaving the front door wide open. Your glass might stay scratch free, but it belongs to someone else now.
👉 Swipe to see why option two is not much better.
#PhoneCase #AntiTheft #TravelFail #UrbanSafety #lockup

🪀 You tried using one of those cheap trendy phone leashes at a packed concert, only to spend the entire night watching your device swing around like an aggressive pendulum hitting everyone nearby. To make the comedy sketch even better, a basic leash is incredibly easy for someone to cut or slip right off your wrist in a dense crowd while you are distracted. Plus, with zero quick release, you are stuck awkwardly holding a sad string just to take a photo. Attached definitely does not mean secure.
👉 Swipe to see the real winner of this test.
#FestivalEssentials #PhoneLeash #TravelGear #ConcertLife #pickpocketproof

🏆 Enter the survival of the fittest. We built LOCKÜP because we were tired of watching good trips get completely ruined by quick pickpockets while cheap accessories just sit there hoping for the best. Imagine having a massive one hu taken in London by @lockup.ca

Your phone is one slip away from a $1,200 mistake.
Meet the Core: the patented lock that stops it, now sold on its own.
Ever had a close call? Drop a 😬 below.
#LOCKUP #antitheftphone #phonesecurity #EDC #gadgets

Nobody explains the Core properly, so here it is in one line.
A patented magnetic lock + a tough Dyneema® cord that clips onto anything you carry.
Save this for when a friend asks « what even is that? »
#LOCKUP #phoneaccessories #EDC #gadgets #phonetech ch

Buying a Core with nothing to clip it into? That’s the #1 mistake.
A Core is only HALF the system. It locks into a LOCKÜP carry you might already own. Add Cores, reuse your cords.
Already have a LOCKÜP? Tell me which one 👇
#LOCKUP #phonestrap #modulargear #edc

Wrist person, crossbody person, or clip-to-the-bag person?
One Core works with all six carries. Pick the one that fits your day.
Comment your carry: 1 Bracelet, 2 Phone Defender, 3 Crossbody, 4 Utility, 5 Bungee, 6 Bullet.
#LOCKUP #crossbodyphone #phonestrap #everydaycarry #edc

« A magnet can’t hold my phone. » Correct. The magnet isn’t what holds it.
It just aligns. A mechanical hook does the locking (rated 100 lb). A quarter-turn sets it free.
Save this for the next person who doubts it.
#LOCKUP #phonetech #magneticlock #EDC #gadgets

Creators, be honest. You’ve fumbled your gear mid-shoot.
A Core on your phone, camera, GoPro and Switch means it never happens again.
Tag the creator who needs to see this 🎥
#LOCKUP #contentcreator #creatorgear #gopro #phonetech

You’ve torn the house apart looking for your keys. We both know it.
Core them, clip them to a Phone Defender, and your everyday carry stops vanishing.
How much time do you waste hunting for your stuff each week? 👇
#LOCKUP #EDC #everydaycarry #keychain #edcgear

Smaller than a AA battery, and it holds 100 lb.
N52 magnets, Dyneema® cord, ZAMAK body. Built for the trades, the trails and everything you’d hate to drop.
Gearheads, save this spec 🔧
#LOCKUP #EDC #adventuregear #gearreview #outdoorgear

Not the type to be the guinea pig? Good. You won’t be.
Patented. 891 Kickstarter backers. 50M+ views. 4.9★. Thousands already carry it.
