USAPL Raw Nats 2025 Recap:

Squat: 262.5 kg/578.7 lbs (+7.5 kg)
Bench: 180 kg/396.8 lbs (+5 kg)
Deadlift: 285 kg/628.3 lbs
Total: 727.5 kg/1603.8 lbs (+12.5 kg)
BW: 73.15 kg (😬)
DOTs: 530.45 (+12 pts)
5th Place

A lot of major milestones from this meet: first podium placement at nationals, first meet since finishing school, breaking 1600 lb total. Despite the 10 minute squat warmup, weighing almost 2 kg under (sorry Dimitri but ✨DOTS✨), and dealing with hours of Atlanta traffic, we came in and had just about the best meet I could have asked for. Being able to be in a position to have a real placing battle, hit the lifts that mattered most, and end up on the podium was a great feeling and I can't wait to get back on the platform again. I'm extremely happy with how this meet went, and I'm ready for much more to come.
As always, I have to thank @dgcakes1 and @doxian_performance for all of the work, time, and effort he's put into this and my lifting. If it weren't for him, none of this would be possible if it weren't for him and I wouldn't be able to be doing this at the level I am now.
Another big thanks to @baileytruittfitness for the constant support and love throughout meet and exam prep all while studying for her own exam too.
Time to get back to work and get ready for the next one ✌️ by @lockwood364

Hello, my name is Garrett Lockwood and I’m one of the new powerlifting coaches with Doxian. I’m originally from Cincinnati, Ohio and grew up as an athlete playing soccer, football, and basketball.

I graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2022 and received my Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology/Exercise Science. I am currently attending the Ohio State University with the goal of graduating with my doctorate in occupational therapy (graduating in 2025). I have experience in physical rehab and pediatric rehab, with a goal of pursuing a practice in a pediatric therapy setting.

I spent a lot of time in the gym with basketball, but once Covid happened I spent a lot more time in the weight room. I was in and out of different training styles like bodybuilding and weightlifting, until I found powerlifting and fell in love with it during my final semester at UK. I shortly after did my first competition and have been hooked ever since. I’ve done 4 competitions so far, competing nationally twice, won best lifter, and broken a few state records.

My favorite moment in powerlifting so far was getting the opportunity to help handle Brett Peach during his Collegiate Nationals win due to how climatic it was at the end. I’ve been fortunate to help Dimitri handle at 3 local meets and 2 national meets and the experience has been valuable. Seeing the growth physically and mentally of athletes is my favorite part of the coaching process so far and building that relationship. I’m excited for this opportunity. by @lockwood364

Collegiate Nationals 2023 Recap

Squat: 235 kg/518 lbs
Bench: 165 kg/363 lbs
Deadlift: 267.5 kg/590 lbs
Total: 667.5 kg/1471 lbs
DOTS: 488

Finally got around to posting a recap of CNATs, and what an experience. Who would've thought that a year later after starting powerlifting that I'd be on a national stage and competing to try to place on the podium. This experience was surreal and I'm very fortunate to have been able to have this opportunity and to have stepped on the platform with so many other amazing athletes.
Special thanks to everyone at @doxian_performance for their constant support and especially @bailey.truitt for being the biggest hype person there is.
And of course, special thanks to the one who got me here @dgcakes1 it wouldn't be possible without him and he's given me every opportunity to thrive in this sport and I can't thank him enough.
Now we look ahead and get ready for big things in Memphis ‼️ by @lockwood364

This was a long time coming, but I finally got to step on the platform for the first time and compete. Very happy with just being able to do this in the first place, but there's much more to come.
Congrats to @umang.patell @unashamedgains @esnider03 @covington.fit for absolutely killing it too, and thanks to everyone from @doxian_performance who came and support, especially @schott__43 and @chaseface12 for handling and making it run so smoothly.
And special thanks to @dgcakes1 the mastermind behind it all. I couldn't have done this without him and I am extremely grateful for all the hard work he has done to get me to where I am now, and we've got plenty for to come by @lockwood364
