November 1 Locomotion is back at Doka with soFa elsewhere & DJ Tracksuit💫

But what is Locomotion?

Locomotion is about the dancers, dancing & the dancefloor. Dance music for the people by DJ’s who know the art of DJing and can tell a story with music.

DJ Tracksuit & soFa met on the streets in Berlin 5 years ago and have been sharing music ever since. 2 years ago they played together for the first (and only) time at Space Safari in Belgium. It was a magical journey through the world of dance music and we’ve been waiting for a moment to make that synergy shine again. Their music will shine bright on Doka’s sound system!

PS: Our previous Doka event in June was sold out so don’t wait to buy your ticket. Support culture by buying your ticket early <3

Locomotion - bro’tje2bro’tje. Fun fact: the track “God Save America” is by the soul/R&B group Congress Alley — made up of two couples from Philadelphia. One of those couples later became the parents of none other than The Roots co-founder Questlove 👀🎶 Sadly, the group only ever released one album.

Our set from ‘My Analog Locomotion Festival’ is up on Soundcloud. @zagerlat @myanalogjournal @deejaytracksuit88

A celebration of vinyl culture! 5.5 hours of vinyl records from all over the world.

Had this one laying around for a while but now summer is officially over and we have a good 6 or so months to go til we’re back at the opposite side of the sun I thought it is the right time to upload this recording from our lovely gathering back in May ‘25.

Next Locomotion is Saturday 11/10 at Paradiso with @lillawaw taken in NAR by @locomotion.nl

It’s been 2 years since I played b2b with @lillawaw so decided it’s time for another brother2brother where we will share our love for soulful dance music with you in Paradiso’s basement👯‍♀️

Bit of backstory:
My musical journey took a big left turn partly thanks to Lawrence taking me to Dekmantel many years ago. Of course he could have told me sooner there’s this whole side of music I didn’t know anything about when I was listening to shitty EDM because I didn’t know any better But hey, better late than never I guess.:P

When I picked up DJing and was loading up my first USB’s, I remember him telling me to play a set strictly filled with music I found myself, not shazams of other DJs. That comment stuck with me ever since and I guess that’s where my digging journey really began (this is like almost 10 years ago when I was still in Belgium)

Seeing him pull of @phono.lake.festival a couple weeks ago filled me with brotherly pride so I decided why not invite him to Locomotion again & celebrate doing cool music stuff💫

Tickets via bit.ly/lm11oct or Paradiso’s website.

ps: can’t seem to find a good pic of the 2 of us, if anyone has please send thru xx

a screengrab reel with some snippets to tell you the mix from Locomotion earlier this month is up to relisten on soundcloud.

First hour expertly warmed up by @dj.weslee then it’s @abiba.sokoto & me for the other 3.5hrs. A journey through the depths of house music for the dancers and shazammers. I think I recognized 2 tracks the whole night? maybe 3. Sick selectors only at Locomotion!!💕💫

Next edition is 11/10 at Paradiso (after the Cymande concert!!) taken in Paradiso Amsterdam by @locomotion.nl

Locomotion updated timing + artist announcement💫👯‍♀️

Locomotion is all about the deep grooves & extended cuts so who better to join for an all night b3b than @abiba.sokoto & @dj.weslee ? Both artists have impressed us with their selections on many occasions, keeping us on our toes literally and figuratively. Shazam didn’t work so we decided to invite them for our first dance in the Paradiso basement.

We compiled a little playlist to get you in the mood on Youtube. Check it out & get your tickets via the Paradiso website🔊
