My original gate is finally up. ✨My neighbors gave it to me 3 years ago and then it sat in my carpenters workshop in two pieces while it got pushed down the list of priorities. The plan is to design/build a removable post so I’ll still be able to access the width of the driveway. The gate isn’t as wide as my driveway because my model is a little different than my neighbors. And I obviously have to stain and protect it. 🥂📸1-4 how it looks now. 5- is how it looked when it was still in pieces. 6/7- is the latch 8- is what the original landscape sketch of my house from 1929 looked like with the gate 9- is the only other original gate left in my historic district 10- is how it sat in a garage for decades.✨ #rockefellerhome #historic #loftytales by @loftytales

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted a BEFORE/AFTER project so I thought I’d share my two original screen doors. 🚪When I bought the house they were both in really bad shape. I wanted to keep them but knew they needed some work. They had to be completely redone- stripped, reinforced, stained and brass kick plates and copper screen added. @air_sphinx did an incredible job and they are now one of my favorite parts of the house. The side door even has the original soft close spring. I love hearing it slam shut ❤️ #rockefellerhouse #historicrestoration #loftytales by @loftytales

Had breakfast at the cutest little cafe this morning. @thejudithcafe feels like it has been there forever but it just opened a short time ago. If you’re in Cleveland make time to stop in☕️🥐 #morningcoffee #thisiscle by @loftytales

An amazing renovation by @nicolorusconi of @georgianhotelsm When I moved to LA in 1999 this had always been one of my favorite buildings but it needed some love. Nice to see it finally got what it deserved❤️ by @loftytales

This was a nice surprise. I love living in a neighborhood with people who love old homes. I’m also incredibly lucky to have found people like @air_sphinx who helped make every project actually happen! 🤍 #historicpreservation #foresthill #rockefellerhome #loftytales by @loftytales
