For 4 years I was able to call the University of Memphis home. The people I’ve met and the memories made will be cherished forever. I cannot put how grateful I am for Coach Rock. Thank you all for letting me come be a part of this program and keeping me around despite getting hurt. You were the definition of class acts and showed me how to grow as a man and a player. When most people think about a hero, they think of a super hero. They think of people like Superman, Batman, or Iron Man. For me, I think about one person: Jimmy Carey. For my entire life all he wanted was for us to be happy. He’d give the shirt off his back to anyone just to see them smile. He was the most passionate individual that I have ever been around. The love that he had for his friends and family were unmatched - even more than his love for baseball and golf. For those that tell you not to meet your heroes, they could not be more wrong. For my entire life I have gotten to learn from the greatest hero of all. God blessed me with you for 24 years and I would not trade a second of it. Here’s to you Dad. I love you. by @logan_carey
