What a ride it has been. A lot of ups and downs, but I ultimately accomplished my goal this past weekend by graduating from the University of Louisville, and it’s prominent Sports Administration program.

For those of you that know me well, you know how much this means to me. For those who don’t, these past 5 years were very challenging for me. After doing terrible in school my freshman year, and making bad decisions, I had to leave UofL. I went home to community college, went to school full-time while working 2 jobs just to pay back my debt.
I persevered and made it back to Louisville, but things weren’t normal for me. I battle with anxiety and depression, and honestly there were a lot of times where I thought I would never make it to see this day, let alone graduate. As you could see in these pictures, I’m very happy and proud of myself. I truly love this place, and love the man it made me today.

I have made so much progress the past few years, but I could not have done it without the support of my family, friends, and Louisville. I cannot thank you enough.

For people out there struggling with school, mental health, or drug abuse. You’re not alone. Seek help, reach out to your family, your closest friends, or just please talk to someone, it could truly save your life.
