14.06.2021 – My first day in estate agency. Five years have flown by! 🤯

I decided pretty early on in life that I wanted to be an estate agent. Partly because I watched Million Dollar Listing and thought it was all open houses, sunshine, and rainbows—but also because I knew I was a people person and wanted a career that meant I wasn’t stuck in an office 24/7 and had a bit of freedom.

Over the last five years, I’ve gone from grafting in a customer service call centre in Essex, to getting my driving licence, becoming a junior negotiator, and eventually working my way up to Senior Consultant, taking on property valuations and listings.

Then came the only move that made sense… Dubai. 🇦🇪

The last five years have been full of lessons, experiences, and moments that I’ll always keep close to me. Real estate hasn’t just been a job—it’s taught me invaluable life lessons and given me opportunities that took me away from home at a young age, forced me to level up, and helped shape me from a boy into a man.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of my journey so far—clients, managers, colleagues, friends, and family members who have listened to me bang on about property non-stop. Being surrounded by such good people and positive energy is a huge part of why I love this game.

I’ve also learned that a tan belt and a burgundy tie probably isn’t the best combo 🤣

Here’s to the next five years.

SOLD & TRANSFERRED in Jumeirah Islands 🏝️

Super proud to have got this one over the line, just in time for Christmas 🎅

The buyer for this stunning home by #971 was originally searching with me in Jumeirah golf estates, having taken the time to understand their requirements, I brought them over to Jumeirah islands where they quickly fell in love with this home.

I also believe this shows why it’s important to work within a good team like we have @dacharealestate - cross selling between communities and understanding your colleagues stock as well as your own.

SOLD & TRANSFERRED 📝

This deal has truly been one to remember, the first time I showed the buyers this home - they completely wrote it off and said no. After continuing to work with them and understanding their needs in more depth, it became clear that this was in fact the right property for them - they just didn’t know it when we first visited!

Thank you to the buyers for their continued faith in me, and I look forward to future deals together.

I also represented the seller - at the time of the deal being agreed - this would be the record breaking sale for the sub-community: however, due to the levels of demand in JGE currently… another transaction will soon follow at a higher price.

3 years ago today marks my first day of Dubai real estate, having landed on 28.09.2023…

What a crazy few years it’s been.

I was 18 when I made the decision to come here, not a hair on my chin, just pure belief and self-confidence in my ability to make it work.

Slide 2 always makes me smile, that’s from one of my listing videos on a property in Basildon, Essex which is where I sold houses before I came here.

Dubai showed me an overwhelming number of opportunities, I’ve gone from Boy to man since being here. Had the highest of highs and also some rocky moments that you wouldn’t see on my instagram, moments that when I look back on, I’m grateful to have experienced, even if it felt like the world was ending at that time.

Originally this was a 1-2 year plan and see how it goes (typical)

Heading into my 4th year now, and I can really say this place has become a home to me. 🇦🇪

Hobbies, work, friends, growth, even luckily got some family - I feel truly blessed to be where I am and I can’t wait to see where we end up over the next few years.

I’m settled now. I understand the city, and more importantly - I understand myself.

The Oasis is priced like it’s 2019⁉️

Why do I say this?

History has a funny way of repeating itself, and we’ve all heard and looked into the success of previous EMAAR communities.

Arabian ranches and Dubai hills were also once considered as “Too far” but then the surrounding areas flourished, infrastructure grew, and all of a sudden it’s PRIME Real estate.

I say this with conviction. Anyone who has purchased already, or buys now during off plan re-sale phase, is sitting on a gold mine.

“Distressed” gets thrown around way too easily in real estate.

If it’s not at least 20% below market value, it’s not distressed. It’s a motivated seller.

And sometimes… it’s just a shit hole. 😂

@dealingdxb surprised me today with The JAV community. I dont see enough buyers looking here.

Plot sizes are great, location is unreal, and it’s built by Nakheel who as we know are government backed and been behind some fantastic villa communities in the past.

I see this area getting popular in the future.
